  • So i want torepaint a train, i did, but when i view it in model viewer its just a big blue train, the inside looks normal, but the outside is an annoying blue color, anyone knows whats the problem? Also here are some questions that i want to ask while im here.

Do i need to create a seperate rust and gloss texture?

Do i need to do something with mtl, msh, and mdl files?

I accept any help, i looked at guides on steam, they dont help me, i need to have a more in-depth and specific guide, or even a step-by-step guide, i just dont work like a normal human being, and dont tell me to practice when i dont know what am i doing even if i read the guides.
    help please?

this is fancy in my opinion

  • This blue color is shown when the texture file couldn't be found. Seems like you have a problem with file references. There should be a consol window in the background. Its output should contain useful hints, which texture file is missing.

You do not need to modify the CDR (Color, Dirt, Rust), if you do not want to. But the recoloration-function might be a reason to do so, if other areas of your repaint should be recolorable than in the original model.
Yes, you need to modify the mtl (material) files, as you should refer to your new texture files.

Please use proper topic names that briefly describe what the problem is. "ASAP" isn't really polite.
