  • Hello, my copy of Transport Fever from Steam every time I start any kind of game gives me a black screen and then it crashes, forcing me to close the game.
    I've got an error in the crash_dump folder, stdout file, saying that X, Y, and Z textures are not in in file cache.
    What can I do to fix this? I've read I can try to delete the folder, although with memory usage increased.

    As soon as I get home I'll include graphic card info

  • The other error is;

    "res/config/tips.lua not in file cache!
    res/config/tips_steam.lua not in file cache!"

    Nothing is written in stderr file. ?(
    All drivers are updated (as August 2018 and my computer is a quite old).

    And if it gives more information here is the full transcript of stdout:

  • I wait for a few seconds before I see some gray lines and then it crashes.

    I must say I've had a cracked copy of the game and it worked quite well, so I thought of buying it, even though it wasn't really meeting the minimum requirements.
    The game ran fine (with some minimum settings) until late game, mid 2000 (also I'm not really interested in massive detailing)

  • That is probable. That version seemed it had everything on, and I'm sure it was TPF (there were boats, planes and everything).

    The thing is that I didn't like the 2-hours limit of testing that Steam gives you.
    I knew the PC specs were low, that's why I wanted to test the game. Now I've already got 37 minutes of staring at a black screen.

    Is there anything I can do? Maybe I can donate the retail price of the copy to the developers and continue using the bad copy...
