May I please request you to add the Zagreb Colours to the Mercedes Benz? Or if you are planning on making more models of buses the MAN bus from Zagreb?

"Zagreb Colors"? I call this blue xD
-
LOL! :)) There is a logo on the side of the bus tho.

Its a logo, no "typical" color-combination. Its just a blue I could live with the description of "zagreb blue". But you say colorS - and its only one

Was meinste, warum mir Sets so teuflisch schwer fallen.

Hehehe... no problem... I'll repaint buses to ZG colors...
Note: low-floor city buses in my mod are Volvo, not Mercedes... but... never mind...
And... note #2: current colors of low-floor city buses (orange and blue/green) are from Autotrolej Rijeka
Note #3: if you want different line texts on buses - let me know... there is total of 20 buses (10 regular + 10 articulated)... or... you can repaint line texts if you wish... it's easy...
-
Okay thanks!
Also which Volvo bus is it based on?
Edit by Merk: Removed quote of previous post.
-
It's based on Volvo 7700... with few modifications... ("artistic freedom")...
- front lights have some differences from original, and
- I removed 'box' above driver... I admit: I don't have idea what this box is and bus looks nicer without it...And... here is preview for ZET bus
-
Wow! That was quick!! Looking good so far!
I would like to know which program you use for making repaints...As I would like to start myself
Edit by Merk: Removed quote of previous post.
-
Programs for picture editing:
- Micrografx Picture Publisher (very old program, but I still using it)
- Paint Shop Pro 7
- Photoshop CS4Programs for 3D editing:
- MilkShape 3D (it was #1 tool for The Sims, but it still good for low-poly meshes)
- Blender
- 3ds Max 2012Programs for text (.lua, .mdl, .mtl...) editing:
- Programmer's Notepad
- UltraEditHere is your bus in Blender:
-
Thanks so much! and so you use which one to apply the textures to the model because that is the one I am struggling with as I am trying to make a simple repaint of a bus into these colours (in attached image). And I was thinking if i can figure this out could I help you to make a BKV (Budapest) Repaint of this bus into the new and old colours? Thanks for this repaint btw! Am looking forward to seeing it ingame.
Also I'm supposing you know which one to open in Blender? Is it the .mdl, .grp... etc???
Edit by Merk: Merged double-post and removed quote of previous post.

For repaints you have two options:
1. you can replace original files with your files... it's easy, but you loose original2. make whole new set, but, that's tricky:
- create new material file (.mtl) and point it to your texture (.tga) file
- you have to add your material (.mtl) file in mesh (.msh) file and add new matConfigs for your material
- create new model (.mdl) file and change matConfigs so model will be loaded with your materialIt's good to check are everything at correct places with Blender (you can import your model in Blender) and you'll see error messages if something went wrong (this is better then game crash, isn't it )
You can search through this Forum... there are lot of posts about repaints...
Edit: mostly, I loading model file (.mdl) in Blender, but sometimes I need to check only part of model, so, then I loading group file or single mesh...
-
Thanks for your help! But this happens when I try to open your file to apply texture in Blender.....
Edit by Merk: Removed quote of previous post.
-
You must have add-on for TF import-export in Blender and then use File/Import to load model in Blender...
Check this: Blender Import/Export Addon
-
And then how do we import the textures? I'm so sorry for all these questions..... Thanks a lot for your help!
Edit by Merk: Removed quote of previous post.
-
Blender will load texture defined by matConfigs and material files.
To change texture - you don't need Blender... use Paint Shop Pro or whatever you like to change it... and then, use Blender to check how it looks on model...
But, again... you have to change lot of files to make this work...
- you need new texture in 'res/textures' folder
- then new material file in 'res/models/material' folder and in this new .mtl file you have to add your texture
- add material file in mesh file (.msh) in 'res/models/mesh' folder and also change matConfigs in .msh file
- create new model (.mdl) file in 'res/models/model' folder and then change matConfigs in your file to correct numberAll above files (except texture itself) are text files, but all of them are in LUA language and follow LUA language syntax...

Added repaints for low-floor city buses in ZET Zagreb livery.
To use this repaint - you need dma_Buses_1 mod and it must be loaded before dma_ZET_Buses_1 mod!
Original orange and green/blue city buses are not changed and ZET buses are add-on for original mod.
NOTE: Majorette from picture below is not included in the mod.
