Well, picture talks more then words...

Polizeiautos sind in Deutschland erst seit kurzem blau, Jahrzehntelang waren sie grün oder grün-weiss.- Something about game time: I have some maps over year 2200... why I don't have USS Enterprise on these maps? I still having old Trabant there... don't you think that game time is irrelevant...?
- Today's taxi are full of advertisements and all the colorful ... at least the ones that I saw...
- I know that German police is green... but... I didn't made German vehicles... I tried to make them universal as possible...
-
Croatian taxi livery?

Croatian taxi livery?
Yes
Note about game time and fact that all vehicles are available in game from 1950...
Yes, I made them all available from 1950... Why? Because I just ignoring game time. You wanna know why? Because from 1950 until end of time we watching same buildings, same residents, same trams... There is no
mag-lev trains in 22rd century... there is no USS Enterprise in 23rd century...So, what's the point? If we can play until 23rd century or more with the same assets, then the game time don't have any sense.
Finally, if you don't wanna new cars in your game until the end of 20th century - it's simple: do not load this mod in your game... you can load it when your game reach year 2000... it's simple...

I dont know from where you are, but here the ppl like fitting values Ofc it stays your decision at the end, but ignoring time is just your opinion

You can use things from the past in future. But you can not use things from the future in the past. Unless you have a Tardis, of course.
And introducing things early results in an awfully cluttered buy menu.

And, yes, one note about vehicle speed script included in this mod...
I tried it on large map with train line which going almost diagonal from one side of map to another... train was only 7% faster with this mod enabled.
Why? Because this script don't change speed limits of roads or railways...
It only set maximum speed of vehicles. So, train or truck can drive faster only if railway or road allowing that... if you have old type railway with max. speed of 120 km/h - your train will still drive max. 120 km/h.
Same thing is with trucks... they don't drive through city with 130 km/h...
Only real advatage of this mod/hack/cheat or whatever you wanna name it, is: vehicles are faster on start moving and they are only little faster in drive... all other settings like tractive effort, weight of vehicles and speed limit of road/railway still reducing speed of vehicles.
-
Wouldn't it be a better idea to separate the trucks part from the part that changes the stats of every vehicle into two mods?

OK. I'll remove all script settings from both mods. It's just 5 minutes of work...

Sure its not much, but remember: Not everyone understands this stuff So there are propably many out there that want to use your vehicles but not this basic changes for all other mods. And they cant change something. Result: "what a crap mod"

I made small update (ver. 1.7) ...
- Added fakeBogies settings to correct bus driving at sharp curves... -
I working on new low-floor city buses... here is preview...
Note: buses have line number on display, but this is not line number/name from game... it's from user's choice when buying bus (see picture below...)
-
And here is another one...
-
Very Nice!!!!

I just uploaded latest version (1.8) with city buses included.
There are, total, 20 buses on menu... reason for this is different line numbers on buses. I'm sorry for flooding menu, but this is only way to get different line numbers on buses.
If you wanna change line texts on buses, it's very easy:
- in folder mods\dma_Cars_1\res\textures\models\vehicle\bus you can see 10 files named city_bus_lt[1-A] ... these files are textures for line number... -
I working on new bus(es), so... if you have idea or wishes for livery... let me know...
