  • At the moment, we do not have blueprints for steam engines from norway. (And we need some more modders for all the vehicles :D )

Edit: Oh... there is one WIP steam engine from Norway...but otherwise see above.

  • It would be cool if the Copenhagen Central Station (best looking station in Northern Europe in my opinion) was included in this DLC, because it would add another cool station to the game.
Also, are there any estimate for when this is going to be released? I'm not trying to get you to hurry up, as that would be bad. I'm just interested, since you've been working on this for a long time now. I'd say it will get released in a few months, maybe in May.

Keep up the amazing work though!

  • I have a really good 3D-Modell for this one. It's not my own work, I just asked the originally Modeller and have permission to use it for TPF. But too many projects and little time ;)

That's nice! Incase someone else makes it then i'm able to do the X55! [Blockierte Grafik: http://www.jarnvag.net/images/bild/vagnguide/extX55_3351Kiruna2012KS.jpg]

So glad you're making those trains, as I've wanted for them to be added into the game as mods for a long time now. Good luck with the modelling!

Dafür muss man Verständnis aufbringen.

Was soll ich tun?

    Yoshi

When will the DLC finally be published? I've been waiting so long... what's the status quo?
Due to the fact that there has been an increasing demand for progress updates lately and users are wishing for a playable DLC, it is time to write a project status report. I would like to do all this in the form of a FAQ.

The short version: The DLC is far from being ready. It is a complex undertaking and we need more supporters. Therefore we would be happy if there are still some modders who support us. It is not only about vehicles, but also buildings and stations.

What? The DLC isn't ready yet? Why that?
The Nordic DLC TPF edition should not simply be a conversion of the existing vehicles from the TF predecessor DLC. It will also be rounded off with other vehicles, assets, buildings etc. This also requires considerably more work. With the vehicles, for example, the interior spaces are added, textures have considerably more features,..... for some vehicles it is like building a new model. Another problem is the lack of technical drawings. There are not suitable drawings for every desired vehicle. The search for technical drawings also takes its time.

But there were so many modders who took part in the TF-DLC? Then why aren't you making progress?
It is gratifying that there were many people involved at the time. Many of them are back again and have agreed to convert their models. However, there are also some modders who are no longer active in the community. Partially we have the possibility (and permission) to convert their models. Unfortunately, we cannot reach other modders any more. Fortunately, there are also new modders who want to get involved.

This is all so general, what does it look like in concrete terms?
Okay, let's look at the categories. Under "Other possible models" you will find possible additions. Whether and how many of them will come depends heavily on the number of supporting modders. The first number in the columns indicates the number of finished models. The second number is the WIP models. It is also possible that individual models from the TF-DLC are not transferred to the TPF-DLC.

There's still a lot of work to do?! Did the modders sleep? The Nordic DLC for TPF has been discussed for almost two years now...
No, they haven't. A year ago, the project was actually launched. With the conversion of the features from TF to TPF an unbelievable additional effort is coming to the modders. Thousands of hours (no exaggeration) go into the conversion and adaptation of the modders' own mods. Many have already published several models in the TF periods (2014, 2015, 2016). Converting this takes time. Only then do the modders who are still there devote themselves to their contents of Nordic DLC. That's why the Nordic DLC project got off to a slow start. You have to show understanding for that.

If this goes on like this, will it never be finished?
I do not want to hear that fear here. The project is run by the participants in their spare time. Many modders also have other projects they are working on. Everyone who invests time in the project should be respected. If you really want to ask yourself this question, it would be advisable to take advantage of the waiting time until the DLC is released to try to gain access to modding yourself. Then you can do your part to advance the project.

Okay, okay..... I get it, you guys need my support for modding. How can I help you?
Thank you so much for wanting to support us. You can see above in the table how much progress has been made in the individual areas. If you can imagine supporting us, please contact @Merk, @mediziner and @Yoshi (via PM). Then we will discuss with you what the support can look like in detail and you can get an overview of the models.

I am flexible, where are the biggest gaps?
We would be very pleased if you could support us with ships, airplanes, steam locomotives and houses (or other buildings). Of course we also welcome specialists, e. g. for texturing or scripting.

I've already made a model that is suitable for the DLC. What do you want me to do?
That sounds great! The best thing to do is to contact us directly and we will see how the model can be integrated into the DLC.

    Yours,
    Yoshi

  • in two years this project has gone to sleep, I see the things they want to put in this dlc and they are the following things.

    1. buses
    2. trains of all types
    3.trams
    4.multiple units
    5. passenger coaches
    6. cargo wagaon
    7. trucks
    8. buildings

and these are two thing left out airplanes and ships, they refuse even to discuss adding airplanes or ships and I was told they would not be add this nordic dlc in future. I find this they are making the nordic dlc for themselfs and their frends
who play the game. and not rest of world who also plays this game. I do have right to speak my mind and my feelings in this matter
