    Hey guys,


    I wondered if there was a script mod for the journeys that passengers make in Transport Fever. I have several railway lines running between two stations which then branch off later on, as the demand for passengers travelling between these two points is huge! What i've found though is that passengers just wait for line 5 which is very annoying, because Line 5 doesn't make enough money to warrant more trains on the service.


    Which brings me to my question. Is there such a mod that will allow passengers to decide to get the first available train rather than waiting for a specific line? Just to get them slightly closer to their desired destination? As this may be a lot quicker than waiting for a direct train.

    Unfortunately, this is something that can't be modded.
    It is hard-coded in the game, that passengers (or also freight, for that matter) take a predetermined path/route/line/whatever. So once they start waiting for a train, they will continue waiting for a train, even if 10 others roll by that would be better or faster.


    I think this isn't the best solution - but it's a necessary one. Just imagine the processing power of not only having do determine a route for a client, but also redetermine the route mid-travel?
    This is one of the downsides to having a world that's acutally fully simulated and not simply populated with random entities that look good but serve no purpose in a transport sense.
