Thanks to you for your hard work on this station mod!!Lot's of impossible thing I see in TPF, I just do what is possible but sophisticated.
-
Variable radius + variable platform width
-
This kind of station is the most common in reality

Is it possible that the Changing of track types is causing my game to crash if I already have a speed restricted track mod installed? because every time I try to change the tracks on this pre-release version My game crashes, but no clear stdout mod failure.
Nevertheless, your works, and especially this mod, are absolutely amazing!!!
Big Thanks to you!!! -
I think I will stop using the internal track selection design since I have never thought of introducing mod tracks..
Edit by Merk: Removed full-quote of previous post.

Lot's of personal and family affairs this week, and an algorithm mistake unsolved for the two-part curves with displacement, so sorry the project will be delayed for some days.
-
No problem, take your time. The result is great anyway. Even if it's some days "delayed"
-
No worries, I dont mind delays. By the way, the pre-alpha works fine for me, so, take you're time!
-
just a question, will it be possible to build one-track elevated stations? (I couldn't play TpF for a while but I think I remember the existing mod has only two-or-more-track elevated ones)

Pay attention the pre-alpha is not stable to the final, means incompatible(lead to CTD)...so for test and fun only.

For the last version it's impossible, but now maybe.

Wow, that would be a pretty cool feature! (For example, in Nürnberg (near my home town) such a one-sided elevated platform exists)

Ok, I understand what you mean...
I thought you mean a single track elevated station...
In theory, it's possible, in reality...maybe.

Single Track elevated Station?

I am gushing!
While fiddling around with the various train station mods on the interwebs for Tpf I was compiling sort of a wishlist for an improved mod combining the best options.
While reading through the comments of the flexible train station at steam workshop I read something about your "ultimate station mod". And now I'm just astonished. Here my "wishlist" for inspirational matters:
1. "Engineering related" stuff
- increased number of tracks
- increased variability of track lengths
- curvature
- different curvatures for different ends of tracks
- individual track lengths
- throughtracks/transit tracks (in general and there location (first, middle, end) in particular
- variable platform width / track spacing
- double terminals (so 2 shorter trains may use one and the same platform) maybe even with switches
- Elevated platforms and tracks (not an elevated station, as the building and road connection remains on ground level but the platforms and tracks are some 6 meters above ground)
- Underground platforms (not an underground station, but additional platforms which could for example be aligned in a 90° angle to the regular platforms)
- integrated tram/bus station
- tram/bus passageway on "groundlevel"
- variable road connections: more (3rd, 4th etc), positioning, selection of road type (old/new, small/medium), integrated tram/bus stop2. "Architecture"
- Various station building styles (1850, 1920, 1990, others)
- Size of station buildings (small, medium, large) as far as I know the regular urban games stations have 5 different sizes
- Size of secondary road connection building (none, small, medium, large)
- An Option to implement adjoining buildings (wing, (clock-)tower)
- variable textures (brick, sandstone, concrete, limestone, sleat, quarrystone, cobble)
- platform halls (none, 1850/1920/1990)As you have already tackled almost all of the "engineering" stuff just some hints were you might find ideas for the others:
Integrated bus stop can be found in @Patti 's Bahnhof Oberberg and in Tom's Bahnhof Liege-Guillemins.
Elevated platforms are an option in @'eis_os's advanced modern trainstation
Tram/bus passageway on groundlevel are implemented in MaikC's Bahnhof Dresden-Neustadt. (And of course in your own Elevated Station)
Double terminals with switches are part of course of Tom's Standard Bahnhof mit Gleis Doppelbelegeung. (And in various stations by @Bandion)Concerning the "architecture"
Station building styles are selectable in Tom's Standardbahnhof Plus.
Variable textures were integrated by @KarlCharlson for the Schmalspur-Package (for depots and cargo stations).Keep up the awesome work and take your time.
Sorry if I missed something took a long while to compose this post.

I am back in this project.

good idea this subject

The standar and two part curves (like S) are finished, the third type, triangle, is in progress.
No screenshot so far

I know this a really huge and ambitious project. I respect ths a lot.
Actually I use Underground Station, Complex Stations with Underground and some other stations like curved, blanc, without inner or outer platforms and so on. Often I wished to have compatible and working combinations of them.Your "Elevated Station" has a modern style and is available very late in game. I miss a bit a much older variation, like i.e. Dresden-Mitte (>100 years old). It's part of an inner city elevated train pass in addition to the sandstone bridge over the river Elbe. The link shows the place in Google Maps.
https://www.google.de/maps/@51…219064,589m/data=!3m1!1e3
The area around is visible in Google street view and with a 3D view you can imagine what I mean.
But also station styles like i.e. Radebeul-West (Koetzschenbroda) might be cool to see ingame:
https://www.google.de/maps/@51…a,35y,39.5t/data=!3m1!1e3So my personal wishlist contains following:
1. Old fasioned elevated stations. (I know assets are not necessarily your part but available already.
2. Second road for an elevated station creates a passing road below, Maybe usable with tram and tram stop. (variable position of the tunnel?)
3. A wider range of available platforms or transit lines without platforms.Advanced Complex Stations
4. A wider range of combinations between elevated, ground and underground (as far as the game mechanic allows this).
5. Support and combinations with modded rails (i.e. narrow gauge, metro rails).
(i.e. narrow gauge and normal gauge tracks in Radebeul-Ost: https://www.google.de/maps/@51…809693,149m/data=!3m1!1e3)
In ealier years this was not only a city station but an old fashioned station with building.
https://www.google.de/maps/@51…-ro0-fo100!7i10240!8i5120I'm really sure this list will extent rapidly, if I take more time for.
I think, out there are a great number of station mods, but none which combines all advatages of them yet. I would really appreciate to see that with "Ultimate Station".
