Vulgaris Magistralis wrong tag
What am I getting wrong exactly? I am at a loss for words as regardless how I put it, it will not populate with the other contest photos.
-
It is the right tag.
The forum software provides you with a different namespace for tags as you have switched the display language to english. This stupid limitation unfortunately can't be solved on our side so Traffic Hamburg has to keep that in mind when checking for pictures.

Yoshi nun ist er richtig, als ich das schrieb, hatte er "screenshot contest 02/2021" und nicht "screenshotcontest 02/2021" geschrieben.
Vulgaris Magistralis now all is fine
-
[user = '21340'] Yoshi [/ user] now he is correct, when I wrote that he had written "screenshot contest 02/2021" and not "screenshot contest 02/2021".
[user = '45204'] Vulgaris Magistralis [/ user] now all is fine
Awesome, it wasn't taking me to the page with the rest of them early this morning. Thought I was still messing it up.

' Welcome to another exciting, wonderful and sunny day at the Farnborough Airshow!
Our next low flyby is performed jointly by first officer Smirnov piloting 1950's twin-engine Russian Ilyushin Il-14 and captain Schmidt flying this majestic Junkers Ju 52, a beautifully restored pre-war aircraft from 1935!'

Screenshots have to be uploaded to the Gallery and be correctly labeled ''Screenshotcontest MM/YYYY'', in which ''MM'' stands for the month and ''YYYY'' for the year. Example: ''Screenshotcontest 05/2019'' as a label would indicate the screenshot is submitted to the Screenshot-Contest of May 2019.
-
Remi Gio this isn't really a fault on your side, but a misunderstanding. The quotation marks just mark the beginning and end of the Tag (or better the example for the tag). They are, however, not a part of the tag itself, so the right tag for this month should be Screenshotcontest 02/2021
Traffic Hamburg maybe you could change the quotation marks in the rules to Inline-Code - brackets, that would probably avoid future misunderstandings like this [tt]Hier steht Text[̸ tt]

Remi Gio NP, but one last thing - remove the spaces between screenshot and contest, then the tag will be right
...or alternatively just copy this straight into the tag - text box: Screenshotcontest 02/2021
This probably should do the deal
Sorry about this, but this tag-system isn't really mature (as many other things in the WoltLab-forum software). Unfortunately nothing that the admins could fix, so we have to stick with those "not ideal" circumstances...
Edit:
Remi Gio yep, officialy entered the contest
-
This one doesn't work either - there is only 1 other military airport with that tag.... and I have tried 5 different combinations. Seems even with correct tag it won't allow the picture to display where it should.
-
Remi Gio It sure does work, just the limitations of the stupid forum software
Since you are from Belgium and hence probably use the english version of the forum, the software assigns you the english version of the tag.
This is one of the limitations of the forum software - splitting one tag into several because of the used language settings.
This however will be checked by Traffic Hamburg and your picture will therefore still enter the contest - even if the tag just shows one other picture for you...
(this pic also was entered by an english user - if you use the tag from a german user, you'll find all the pictures but those two). So, just the limitation of the software, the Tag Screenshotcontest 02/2021 is right and your Picture will be in the contest with it
... like I said, the softare is kinda stupid

Traffic Hamburg - hey, if you are here to criticize only instead of helping even while your tags don't work and I have to follow your timetable when to upload my screenshot to the gallery (February isn't over yet) then please disregard my entry for this contest. I have removed the 'wrong' tag already. This was suppose to be fun... Have a good one
-
Sorry, but there is no logic for me to upload the picture as a file attachment and only upload it to the gallery a few hours later. Why not load it into the gallery right away and embed it here as described above?
-
Yes 1 hour later... Did you consider I might have been busy working or on a phone call, or eating?
As I already said - this is suppose to be FUN with users showing their screenshots but if you are so NOT welcoming to any non-German speakers then your logic is perfectly clear to me.
The tag has already been deleted so... you win

Remi Gio , I think that there is something lost in translation here between the two of You.
Traffic Hamburg did not mean to attack You, he was just a bit surprised that You took the complicated route of uploading the picture twice (once to the gallery page and once separately to Your post).
As far as I understand this, and also having consulted the rules again, I don´t see anything You have done wrong or contravening what has been written. Neither do I spot any accusation of anything untoward directed at You. Such a communication in a language in essence foreign to both participants does have a slightly elevated probability of misconveying thoughts and causing unintended offense..
So let me suggest that there is no need to retract any entry due to a mere misunderstanding
