As you mentioned the asset menu: How much work would it be to enter a short description or the model name, when hovering over or selecting it?
I always miss that when selecting one of the T3s. Since the images are so small you cannot see which is what and which T3 is which brand.
So, having a one-liner like "T3 Claas", "T3 Post", "T3 bakery", etc. would be really helpful.
Doesn't look like that is possible:
-
You need coffee.
-
There are commands available to create new lines and new vehicles, so this should all be possible:
https://transportfever2.com/wi…ting/modules/api.cmd.html
Must admit to not having tried either myself.
-
That's coming together really nicely. I'm looking forward to putting it on the road.
-
You could try something like Recuva, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
-
You could try reducing the albedo scale in the same way.
-
Excellent. Many thanks.
-
Has anyone had any luck at setting the font for an entry in a labelList in a model file?
If so, what syntax is required?
Thanks,
Doug

Google's finest. I know (from having worked frequently with French/English translations) that it can be a little rough...
-
It looks like you have installed a mod which requires the MOTRAS mod
without having installed that mod itself.
Bad German translation:
Anscheinend hast du einen Mod installiert, der den MOTRAS-Mod benötigt
ohne die Mod selbst installiert zu haben.

It sounds like one of the mods (maybe both?) is using
string.find(cargoName, "FISH")
rather than
if cargoName == "FISH"
so that both FISH and FISH_B are being affected.
-
Would this not be better handled by modifying how fish and fish_b are displayed - by applying an addModifier function to the cargo types at load time?

Seems to be working OK so far. There is a little clean up needs to be done - the fallback versions of a couple of things (railway signals come to mind) are now available for purchase, which is a little silly.
Also, you get notified that a bunch menu versions of various vehicles become available for purchase. I'll need to prevent their availability dates from being changed. This stuff does not prevent the mod from working, it just adds some unnecessary goofiness.
Right now, you will run in to problems if you set the earliest start date to anything earlier than 1700. (This requires an edit to mod.lua in any event.) I'll put a check in to prevent such an edit from crashing the game.
I think the rail ticket price formula falls down a little at the very low speeds of the wagonway horses and the first steam locomotives. It's much harder to make money with them. Puffing Billy is a game changer when it becomes available in 1813.
I would surely appreciate it if you would give it a try. I was not able to duplicate the error that Gordon Dry encountered, but if someone else does, then I'm going to have to start combing through the code with great care...

No, you did nothing wrong. The problem was only half fixed...
The attached folder contains the script files for each mod, properly corrected.
If you want to overwrite the script files in each mod with the corresponding file from this archive, things should work better for you.
I believe dview is planning on updating the mod when he has the chance, and once we are comfortable that the attached script files are actually as bug free as they currently seem...

Thanks. Good to know!

Could you let me know if this one solves the problem for you?
This is just the revised script file for the Cars of the 90's mod.
-
When you get these crash dump files, are the actual models placed on the map being renamed as expected?
The name should be changing from "no name" to a 5- or 6-digit integer value. Either way, you should see the name if you hover the mouse over the object without clicking on it.

I can confirm that dump files are still created because of the Cars of the 90's, Cars of the 90's Taxi, VW T3 Base Pack, VW T3 Dispatch pack's scripts. In my case it was four dump files for everything I've placed or deleted. After renaming the four config folders so the game can't find it the error is gone (and my game is a little faster again).
Can you confirm that the old script files have been deleted, so that only the new ones are present?
