The Team of the Transport-Fever Community

Dear members, guests and the whole team,

The year 2020 was really jinxed. While the months of January and February were still quite normal, Corona struck mercilessly from March. Before I go into detail about the community, I would like to say a few words about my personal year 2020 - probably this looked similar for many.

I have been working in tourism, marketing and events for the city of Berlin for more than a year. With the onset of the crisis, I lost my job guarantee despite being fully employed. A hard punch in my own wallet, frequent stress with the boss and also family things were dicey, with closed kindergartens but expected 100% accessibility for the job - even on the weekends. Fortunately for me, the biggest construction sites at the community were already completed in January and February. This state of affairs continued into July, with the thought in the back of my mind of becoming completely unemployed if I now moved away from being fully available for work. In July, my general doctor pulled the ripcord after I was diagnosed with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). This would normally put an end to everything, but "stopping" during these times was impossible for me. I was given notice, but tried to keep my head above water financially by working on Instagram and agreed with my employers to reduce my hours. I am still in this status, but things are stable - despite less salary. My luck is the dependence of the city on its event & tourism sector. This was only an extremely superficial outline that should put you in my current starting situation with regard to the community.

Now to the community itself:

THANK GOD, you ALL exist. I am very grateful to my team, all donators, all members and guests. I say it like it is: Without the financial support from you and the hardworking team, the community would be closed. I would never have been able to pull this off this year.

Corona is stupid, but it has solidified the community. We have a strong core of modders and regular members and are still growing daily. My team and I are excited every day to unlock so many great mods and provide you with such an established platform alongside Steam. Also this year our advent calendar was a great success, a big thank you to Yoshi for the organization and programming.

For 2021 I wish the same success for this platform and a nice interaction with each other - yes, there is friction in every family but that's human. Also our Teamspeak and Discord are popular places to exchange ideas and will remain for you in 2021. My personal goal is to become fit again to be then also again fully present - oh so a user meeting in 2021 may not be missing, I tend however against October and my team and I, will consider us what nice - in the north we were for a long time no more, perhaps times direction Denmark?

I would like to mention one person at this point: He had suffered well from me this year, especially due to my absence. Our technical officer eis_os who so hardworking adapted the webdisk to your and our requirements and also updates it regularly. A BIG thank you.

So enough text :) I wish you all a Happy New Year, stay healthy, stay safe.... We see, read and hear us again in 2021.

Many greetings,

Steffen
