My next project, the Plan-W repaint of the Silberlinge mod von Grimes.

Since Oppie seems to be in a nostalgia mood with the release of the NS 1100 series and the DE3, I thought I would make some Plan-W carriages of the NS. They are technically identical to the Silberlinge trains, so I took Grimes mod and repainted them.
I plan to repaint this in different versions:
- Dark blue layout without banners (1968-1981)
- Dark blue Layout with banners (as seen in the picture) (1968-1984)
- Dark blue BeNeLux layout (version 1) (1973-1982)
- Dark blue BeNeLux layout (version 2) (1982-1988)
- 'Modern' Blue layout (1982-2003)
Plan W carriages were only available in second class.
There is still a lot of work to do, this is just a preview. Stuff like transparency of the windows and to 'de-glare' the roof are still on my todo list.
Note that with all repaints, I am bound to the features of the original model. I know that the dutch version does not have rounded roof edges or stubs, but this is what the original model looks like from Grimes. Also, the dimensions are a bit different, as the doors of the Plan-W are more towards the center than Grimes model (???) so the banners do not really work out and there is too much space between the middle windows. I am also not totally clear on when there was and when there wasn't a class designation on the train... seems NS got bored somewhere last century and stopped putting any.
By the way, does anyone happen to know whether the original purple version had light blue or yellow 'lines' above and below? I am a bit confused since I read everywhere they are yellow, but the 'renovated museum version' is light blue???? Or where there two versions maybe?
