    Thank you guys :)

The spreadsheet is made with Apple Numbers, but the formula can be used with Google Sheet as well (I just tested). But you won't be able to use a slider or a drop-down menu in the Google Sheets.
I will post it when I'm off the clock. :)

Thought some of you might find this interesting.

No, it was pretty straight forward. But I did quite a lot of things more than just copy-paste the mod files:

    • re-modeled / fixed existing geometry on every wagon
    • made interior models for all wagons
    • fixed some issues with doors from previous version
    • due to re-modeling and fixing geometry, I made an entirely new UV map for each wagon
    • completely new textures with PBR in mind
    • DDS compression to make the mod load fast in-game (used to take nearly 10-15 seconds - now takes about 1 second or less when you click BUY and add it to a line)
    • Balanced price and cost to fit better with competing train types

All in all I think I've added nearly 60 hours or so in addition to the tens of hours I did on the original mod.

I'm happy to announce the Flirt v2 have been up and running in Transport Fever for a few weeks already. ;)
Most passengers sit, some on fold down chairs, others might even be standing during the ride. The mods will of course be available from day one in the Steam Workshop.

I'm happy to tell you the NSB El 18 have been up and running in Transport Fever for a week already, and will be available in the Steam Workshop from day 1. :)
The price and running cost mentioned below are still work in progress, as the exterior model have been the main focus so far. The technical stats are completed.

    • Running Costs: 2.43 M
    • Top Speed: 200km/h
    • Weight: 83 t
    • Power: 5400 kW

A better and more accurate interior model is coming. And proper placement of the driver.

Oh my, what a day! I've retopoed the whole thing, UV mapped it, and have textured the three liveries!!
It's not copletely ready for prime time yet though which I'll address as soon as possible. And I will of course make an interior part too.

I've spent all my time after work today with retopo. The biggest part of the train is done! Finally!
Then there's the smaller parts and details left to retopo before I go ahead with UV mapping.

Not much to show right now as it's basically the same mesh with a fraction of the number of polygons of the original smooth model. :)

I've made more progress than I thought I would today.
    - cutouts for windows and room for the mirrors to fold
    - the mirrors
    - cut new panels on the roof to make space for the pantographs
    - added pantographs

    What's left to do
    - add a light above the front window
    - fix some details with tubes above the plow
    - retopo
    - uv
    - texture
    - RELEASE !

A screenshot of the model directly from Modo

I've made the wipers earlier this week, but I didn't post it. Busy, busy, busy!
No work this weekend as I'm not home until Sunday night.

Thank you @KingErikII :) There is a B7 in the making by another great modeler.
I must be honest and up front with you guys. I'm running out of time before Transport Fever is released. I'm going away for a week, and there's a lot of things going on in the weekends, so time to finish the model is not much. But rest assured, there will be a mod for Transport Fever!

    Thank you so much! :)

Testing retopo and baking the new details from the high-res model, and once I'm at it, testing texturing to see if there's any kinks and stuff I need to sort with the base model or retopo model. There are some things that needs some extra work, but we're getting there. ;)

The plow and other details have not been textured at this time.

    Thank you guys. :)

    @0815san
They share the same base shape, but there are some differences.
I am also making this model to practice a new modeling technique, and the El 18 is the perfect locomotive to test this! In the end I will have a high quality render model (high level Catmull-Clark subdivisions for architectural visualization, VFX etc.) as well as a low poly version which will become a Transport Fever mod. :)

I intend to make a few different liveries: Red, grey, grey and red, grey/red and with photo.

With time I will also make the wagons that go along with the El 18, the B7 in two liveries: red and the new multicolored design.
