Hello everyone.

It's been years since I've used this forum, so not sure if this is the exact place for this particular question, but I was wondering if anyone can help me make a mod that sets "YearFrom" and "yearTo" for industries (and possibly cargos that are accepted" by year AUTOMATICALLY?

E.G. Set plastic factories being built and plastic to only be available after 1940.

E.G.2 Using mods like the Electronic factory and ADDING "YearFrom = 1940" and "yearTo = 0" to it as it lacks that information in the "Complete Industry Mod Version 1.0" from Philipsz for example.

E.G.3 Set Tool factories to no longer require planks, only Steel after 1900 then include plastic as well after 1950.

Ideally, I just want to append/patch this information via scripts as I can write it out manually if needed but given the sheer number of mods that would take forever.

TL; DR Basically trying to incorporate the logic from doug "Early Start: 1800" Mod to work for Industries as well so they spawn by year.

If anyone has any code or insight on how to do this let me know, as I can't remember how to get and set these types of variables from TpF2 *.con files at least.

Well after I've alot of testing it seems I found the problem (sort of). My TF install consist of alot of old or "res" folder mods from the time when the USA Dlc in both the STOCK and USA dlc installs which was released up until the "mod" folder was added to the game. Basically alot of "mods" from the old res folders are automatically loading into the saves when they are created and can't be removed easily, and oddly some usa dlc mods are also affecting the save.

I probably was in USA Dlc mode by accident when I made the map even though I set everything to North European in the advanced settings tab and added the Nordic mod to the save mod list. This is probably why the save keeps trying to load USA Dlc files eventhough they shouldn't.

I assume the mod now classifies it self as it's own "Dlc" now, so I'm guessing that the Usa Dlc is no longer being activated with the new version 0124 and the save crashes.

Regardless of what's actually causing it, it just seems that I just simply need to re-install all my mods properly and recreate my saves entirely.

P.S.: Anyone know how to retrieve old map seed keys from save files? I wish there was an easier way to retrieve seeds for maps besides writing them down intitally and hoping you don't lose them... ^_^;

Well this doesn't help to me find or fix the error. As written above I'll need a compleate list. At least one error massage is caused by a USA dlc vehicle.

Well sadly those are the only errors I get every time I load the old save(s). I checked the Euro/Usa stock files and they are all fine so I think something is broken in the 0124 Nordic patch.

I'll try the saves on an fresh TF install with the 0122 and 0124 versions and see if anything changes.

Okay, it looks that you are using other mods. Please post a compleate list used for this savegame and if possible the dlc settings (vehicles, ladscape, trees ... )

And please do not use external file hosting services. You can attach your files to your posting.

Well even when I remove the other mods the save still wont load, also they're all vehicles that I can't use until the 1990's so they can be removed safely.

Ah ok, I'll send everything else with the attachments then.

And what year was your save at? When I upgraded it, my around 1900 something save have been loadable.

It is 1897, even the 1900 auto save that I created for it from testing will not load.

I did manage to find my back up of the original version 0122 mod so I can load it again from that now, but I want to convert it to the new version(s).

I recently updated my Nordic Dlc install from version 0122 to 0124 recently and now my save files no longer work for the older version.

Is there a fix for this?

NOTE: I installed the Nordic Dlc manually as both TFGM and TFMM would not install it properly at all.

Ah it'd be great if you got around to finishing it, and again I don't really care when just if anyone is making them.

Also stellar job with the Pennsylvania Railroad MP54 EMU, Fairbanks-Morse Trainmaster, and
Interurban Pack mods, they're some of my faves and are to appear in Season 3 of my TF Let's Play on my channel. Keep up the good work!
