Interior yes, definitely, it's already there.
Door animations, maybe, if I feel like taking the time to build that (my mesh currently isn't really build in such way I can "move" just the doors)

@SpoorObjecten I did not know you were the original creator. Can I upload your mods with proper credits given, or do you want to do it on your own?
Definitely, go ahead, as long as you mention my name, you're good to go
Note that only the SGM and VIRM from TrainFever 1 (and probably converted to Transport Fever 1) are mine.
Sorry for using this topic expecting you were Flynn!
At the moment I'm at the busiest time of the year, December, I have some fancy versions of the trains with windows and seats in 3D, just need to figure out how to get them in TF2.
Next to that I need to work on some LOD as these trains had 3D printing as purpose, so the polygon number needs some work
In case you wonder, the 3D model for the VIRM looks like this in real life:
Yeah i've got mixed feelings about this.
I definitely don't see this is a rampage, as he calls it,my comments were to make sure that he credits the original designer (regardless of me using my personal name, Jettuh - from Mitchell Jetten-, instead of my company name SpoorObjecten)
By him deleting my comments but not actually adding this to the description, my frustration only grew.
I'm sure he had no bad intentions, and I'm happy he converted my train so others can use it in TF2, but the way this had to go was far from ideal and efficient
So to anyone working on conversions of any train (not just dutch), please do credit the designer/author of the original model to save both teams involved some frustration and make this a fun game for everyone !
Edit: disclaimer has been added, so removing my comment here.
Urban Games definitely has the right to take down workshop items posted on Steam for their game.
But I'll start with the DMCA thanks!
My last comment got deleted as well,
I'll reach out to Urban Games
I replied on the NS VIRM mod he uploaded and asked him to mention the original creator (which is me) as it's not right to upload my train from Train Fever 1 and use a "Copyright" symbol on the picture making it look like he is the original designer.
But unfortunately he deleted my message.
I replied with another message:
Edit, to show i'm the original creator of the Train Fever version:
https://www.transportfever.net…hp/Entry/103-NL-V-IRM-V1/
I'll await for his reply till Thursday.
If no reply from him, I'll reach out to Urban Games and ask them to take it down.
Again, i'm fine with people sharing my mod, but do credit me for it.
The last time I created something for TF was years ago on the first game.
I must admit I'm a bit rusty on that part.
Is there any documentation available on how to set up a train in 3D and how to import it ingame?
First thought was: if you want passengers in your trains, that would be done by using dummies in your 3D software that you assign to a passenger?
Edit: i'm referring to a tutorial.
Right now all I'm seeing is bits and pieces across multiple documentations.
Thought I might be looking at the wrong place
You guys mention that my train is too small.
I'm working on this one right now and checked again with the blueprints, but it really has the right dimensions
Plus some additional renders n 3D printed pictures
Could you share the model so that we may use it in Transport Fever?
That's gonna be tricky, the model is roughly 500K polygons, way too much for a game model.
But if It's done i might share the 3d file so you can try to reduce polygons yourself
Yup, they have been 3D printed!
I use 3Ds Max to design the trains.
Here is a picture of a 3D printed VIRM:
I'm not building these for Transport-Fever.
As 3D printing doesn't support dds textures, i won't be adding them, sorry!
Thanks, it's fun to do the interior of a train for once
Maybe it's useful for you guys, doing some 3D printing in color and thought I should share the current texture I'm using
thanks @finne
Hmm door animations will be tricky, the doors aren't a separate mesh.
You could "cut" the doors out from the current mesh and turn them into functional doors tho.
Problem would be that the inside is empty, so it won't look good
Haha no worries
Haven't touched TF since a week after launch to be honest.
I might one day create some real trains for TF.
Maybe I can also add some of my other stuff

"Converted from Train Fever. Based on the TF mod by JoopNL." (on the steam workshop)
Would be nice to mention the original creator as well...
I see this on my VIRM and SGM uploaded by Finne.
(not sure if he's on the forum here?)
