I realized that after I looked into others posts a bit, I hope the devs get on this. I feel like this is super important for the next DLC. It's literally impossible to manage traffic in a 3,5k+ city without it.

Hello everyone,
I've been playing Transport Fever and Train Fever for a while, and something that is actually starting to really annoy me, is the lack of one way raods. The game would REALLY benefit from having better road construction tools. At current, a lot of my traffic problem occurs due to the fact that I can't manage traffic with the current roads at our disposal.
A one way version option to all of the roads available to us, would be amazing.
Thanks for considering this, if I knew how to script I'd do it myself.

Far be it from me to tell you what to do with the house PaTrond, but I will say Red, Yellow, Blue, White and grey are super common colors in Sweden for wooden houses just like that.
I would suggest something along those lines, or keeping them in mind! Beautiful job regardless!

While im no developer for this modpack, I'd strongly wish you keep multiple retextures in the mod. Personally, I find it adds so much detail, and makes the community made mod even better and more well developed!
Good job on the SJ wagons, I tried to do this exact same thing a few months ago, I am so happy you did it better than me though! -
The amount of times I have been on a Kustpilen is ridiculous, great job creating them, reminds me so much of my childhood.
As I am not apart of the mod team in any way shape or form, I dont know what stages in the modding process you are at.
I would like to inquire whether anyone is currently or has worked on the "This is the X-10" ?
The X-10 is a train that you can see all over the South of Sweden, probably the most common public transport/commuting train from Skåne/Småland and Blekinge.
Multiple companies operates them.Good job so far guys, y'all have done amazing work. I love just popping my head in every once in a while to be astounded!

Question for you guys,
This thread kind of sparked my interest of modelling some Scandinavian Train Stations from the South where I come from. (been learning 3d modeling for the past month)
I have never modeled anything for this game yet, so I was wondering, does anyone know the scale of models in this game?If I do produce something and it turns out okay (imo), I'll submit it for you guys to decide if its something you all would be interested in utilizing for the mod.
Thanks guys,
You guys are doing great work so far!
-
Well, thats not exactly true, the main body of the train has a different form, the front is similar but not the same and they probably have different bogies. So the work needed to create this train from the IC3 modell would be nearly the same as when building the train from scratch. Because of that, I propably won't make it.
That makes complete sense, but that still makes me happy as a lark!
I will totally enjoy watching your guyses creations!Cant wait to get my hand on them so I can start making regional/local re-textures :3
-
@Merk, you did beautiful work on that DSB MF/IC3, If i might recommend, take a look at the: "The rolling stock, also known as Class ET in Denmark and X31K or X32K in Sweden"
Link; CLASS ET/X31 or X32KIt uses basically the same model, except an electric version of the train!
(Not requesting it/demanding it, just suggesting it, as from the outside it does not look like it would require too much new work, and it uses the similar model!)
To the rest of you, you guys are doing great work! Keep it up! I love silently following this thread from the corner of the room!

Just a very early wip model of it in game!
No normal map, and rough detailing. Still a bit of work to go
-
So I spent a few hours working on this today. It shouldnt be too hard to get the Alco to look like the one in Fallout NV. It will ofc be a clean version with no rust.
Once this is done I'll probably make one in the D.C.T.A livery as well.Edit: most of my time was speant remaking a clean version of the Barstow Express logo.

If only I could model, then it would be the correct vehicles too!
-
This is a small project I've been working on for a while. I felt that there is very few vehicles that are available after year 2005. I decided to create a few "Fallout Esque" vehicles with actual paint jobs as to how I would imagine they would have looked in the Fallout world.
These vehicles are created with the assumption that the bombing has not happened. Vehicles post the bombing of America will be Enclave etc and appropriate. But, will also be in "pristine" condition, simulating some form of normalcy which would be required in order for public transport to be reinstated.

When you get that Rc6 done, would you mind if I make some re-textures for it, for this pack?
Im currently making those textures for the AEM-7, would love to transfer them over to the correct engine!
-
Hey, I am not a modeler at all (though I do want to learn).
I Mainly do textures, I have been working on a SJ mod (Statens Järnvägar / State Railroads of Sweden) as well as a Tågkompaniet Mod (rival private train company in Sweden). If you guys would make some of the generic models of Certain wagons or trains, I would love to Contribute quite a few liveries for them. I can post pictures of some of my work shoulderstand that be needed.
Right now I am using the Mirage (as I can not model the actual train myself) as a substitute for the X-12 and X-14
This trainI have the Blue SJ, SJ White, Beige and Red Tågkompaniet liveries done. Tonight I was planning on doing the "SJ Black, Skånetrafiken, SL and Västerbotten trafiken livery (yellow and silver)
I also have paint jobs for the general passenger wagons did are in use in Sweden (Still using vanilla models but givenName a base authentic wagon from Scandinavia I should be able to transfer the paint job). I have used THEREFORE the AEM-7 did what released in the North American DLC, as a base for the Swedish RC-5/6/7 engines did are super common in Sweden.
The AEM-7 what to export version built of a Swedish design. If the model is tweaked slightly, we would have the main workhorse of the Swedish Rail roads (Roughly 120 werewolf built). I'd be willing to texture for did as well.
The trains did are super common in the south where I live is:
x2000
Linkx12/14 Passenger
X12 Link
X14 LinkKustpilen/DSB Öresundståg (runs most lines going from Denmark Airport into Sweden, super common)

Really?
So in theory the only thing I might need is a slight model edit to change the light fixtures then?
-
Hi,
Yes, that would work too! Like I said before, I cant model myself, if someone would just edit the model to reflect either the RC or the AEM-7 X995, I would very easily be able to texture it into either Swedish or American paint schemes.
I am assuming the gloss/shine of windows in game is baked into the model? As I have yet to find any environment or gloss maps lying around!
-
Hello there,
It has come to my attention that the AEM-7 added in the USA Dlc is originally of Swedish design. I have been looking forward to the original design of the Swedish Engine being added to Train Fever for quite some time. I would do it myself, but unfortunately I am not a modeler.
The main difference between the AEM-7 and the SJ Class RC, is that the SJ Class RC has windows on the side, and different light fixtures in the front.
I was hoping there was perhaps a modeler out there who felt like they wanted to use the AEM-7 model as a base and just change out the lights and add the circular windows to the side of it?
I would provide texture work of course.I am currently re working my entire SJ pack (Swedish Rail road company) and this engine would fit so perfectly in it.
I have attached reference pictures and can certainly answer more questions if needed.
