Hey Timo, great work keeping this going. I searched as much as I could, but I could not find much information on the cars to build a model for them. However, some of the in-game cars are very close, and could probably be re-painted to match the daylighter color scheme.

Prototype looks great! Let me know if you need more reference images or videos.

Just thought I would put this game out there for those modders still looking for new, interesting vehicles to mod. There is an ok game on Facebook called TrainStation which has a HUGE list of trains in it. You can quickly look through the available trains and mod ones that catch your eye. Not sure if people already knew about this, so I thought I'd put it out there for your info.

Hi all. I need someone to take over my mod for me. I was planning on doing a mod for the "daylighter" train, which is a very well-known, beautiful steam train that used to run on the west coast of the united states. However, starting a business is taking all of my time at the moment, and I thought I would offer up my files. I currently have a basic mod that works, but texturing is a work in process. I need someone to take over for me, because I think this game really needs this engine. Please pm or respond if you want to give it a shot and I will send you a link to the google drive directory I am using. I do most of my modeling in sketchup or rhino, but there are files in many formats in there. There are also PLENTY of reference pictures, drafts, etc. to get you going. Please please please, train-fever community, don't let me down!

This is the way I did it as well. Just start a small map, pause it, and set up lines with trucks from supplier -> industry -> city and make sure you get every city. After you set up all the lines, unpause, wait a few months, and bang-o! One achievement de-train-ified.

Hi all! This is my first post in the forums, and also my first real attempt at creating custom content. I've only done it once before, using sketchup, for RCT3, and that was little more than a cube. I've decided to build the famous "Daylighter" streamliner train, famous for it's orange and black paint job, and it's use along the west coast of the united states. I have finished a preliminary mass model with low level of detail in my modeling program of choice, Sketchup, and exported it to .3ds and .obj. However, that is where my experience in 3D-modeling ends.

I need someone to take the "modding" aspect of this project the rest of the way. I intend to complete this project with an engine, a tender, and rolling-stock, but I don't have the time right now to learn how to mod. Is anyone interested in collaborating on this project? I can send them the .obj or .3ds file of the engine to any modders that are interested.

Looking forward to many more mods in the future!

PS Sorry, I only speak a very small amount of German.
