I just tried running TPFMM again and this time I think you might find the last part of interest.

No error message from TPFMM. The only error messages I got was the Konsel output and I posted everything from that output above. That's why I told the system to run TPFMM so that I could an echo of the errors since TPFMM was silent. Actually I can't tell if TPFMM is crashing or gtk giving up. It might just be gtk4 causing confusion with gtk3 but that is a guess in the dark as I don't know much about how gtk works. I just know that gtk is critical for defining a programs graphics and controls.

I manually installed gtk and a couple of other things that I got erros from TPFMM. I finally got it to work... I thought. After entering the path to TpF install and clicking save, CRASH! I ran in a konsel and:

Maybe gtk4 is interferring?

To be clear, python is currently not a requirement.
TPFMM is written in a basic dialect and should run natively. Due to many differences between windows and Linux gui programming, the current code base of TPFMM does not run on Linux at all. The last version that does run is somewhat stable but requires webkit 3 to be installed which is replaced b, version 4 in the latest Ubuntu. I hope to get a new version out that is compatible to webkit 4, but cannot give a time line on this at the moment.

I am aware of the webkit3 requirement, that is why i told muon to install webkit3. I don't know if something from webkit4 is interfering with the webkit3 install or what.

Anyway, this does not help anybody now.

The current (latest) version is only available for Windows due to some incompatibilities - due o this I did not check on the Linux version longer.
However, I already have webkit3 issue on my ToDo list.

In the meantime, is a workaround using Wine an option?

Thank you for trying to fix this issue.I can't play the game due to a mod issue and was hopping TPFMM could help resolve it. It looks like a lot of mods are missing on my HD! I am also trying to get steam to re download them in addition to getting TPFMM working. The game thinks they exist but they are not on the HD.

Edit: I just checked. I have python 2. Ubuntu 19.04 released last week and I think they building the repos for the new version. Probably in a few weeks it will have python 3 as an update or whatever the latest stable version is. I am running the KDE/plasma varent. That's Kubuntu 19.04.

I ran today's update and found that Ubuntu added libwebkitgtk3 back in the repos . When I run TPFMM nothing happens. I ran in a konsel and got:
/steam/steamapps/common/Transport Fever/TPFMM/TPFMM: error while loading shared libraries: libwebkitgtk-3.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I have a lot of similar lines in tpfmm-log.txt: mods::getRepoMod() Could not find a mod for Water_Tower_1 in online repository What do these lines mean?

After all this time it seems some one would have made a Linux version by now. Where do I download the Linux version or are you still leaving us Linux gamers out in the cold?

I am talking about the DLC packs that Conole Failure uses in his North Atlantic map lets plays on youtube.

A few days ago there were several in this website's download > DLC section.l I didn't know how to install them then. A few days later I found Colonel Failure's youtube video about how to install the Nordic DLC. Now the only DLC in your downloads > DLC section is the Nordic DLC. Where did the other ones go?

I found the Nordic DLC but where are the others? Did you remove them or do I need to look in a different place?
