@KingErikII Thanks. It's one of my favourites too.

ok, thanks @MaikC I'll have a look.

Great models, love the amount of detail that goes into them, big fan of your work. Keep it up.
-
ok @MaikC, Ill take that into account. Also there is an error with the website you linked to me that contained the sketchup plugin.

Added a coupling unit to the front of the locomotive, which I had missed and made adjustments to the unit at the back.
-
sorry @Yoshi I didn't think anyone had seen the new thread. Regarding the model. Thanks.
-
Two days in. The DVT and locomotive bodies+chassis are complete.
-
Some more screenshots of the class 91 locomotive.
-
I created a new thread to showcase my progress.
-
@killakanz, I am hoping to complete this in around 2 months as I am only a beginner. Big fan of your mods btw.

-
I've been working on this for most of the day. I started off by modelling the DVT (Driving Van Trailer). This is typically placed at the end of the train when travelling North, the driver will sit in this to control the train whilst travelling south. Then I added a pantograph unit to the DVT and formed the British Rail Class 91. This is the powerhouse of the Intercity 225, it contains the electric motors that power the train. Then I started work on the Mk. IV passenger coaches that will sit between the DVT and locomotive in the consist and will also be released as a separate mod to be used with other trains. I will be posting my progress on this thread and answering queries.
STATUS: COMPLETE

I'm going to finish the MK4 cars and bogies first before messing with textures. I've made some refinements to the DVT and Locomotive. I have added some more components on the roof so it looks a bit more detailed. Thanks for the help @YstlDystl and no, it did not demotivate me one bit, the fact that the addon does some of it on it's own kind of eases some of the pressure.

I'm looking for someone to help me script the 4 types of MK4 wagons (Modelling still in progress (Driving Van Trailer, Buffet, First Class, Standard class)) and the Class 91 / Intercity 225 9-Car Multiple unit. Any info / help is much appreciated. Credit will be given to anyone who helps out.
-
@YstlDystl , thanks for the link. @MaikC , I'll make some adjustments to the model as you pointed out.
I'm not sure if I should make the windows transparent, I know it looks better but as this is my first mod, I want to keep the textures simple. I may add an interior and transparent windows in a later version but at the moment I'm just focusing on getting something that looks decent and works perfectly.

I imported the body to c4d. How can I create textures in photoshop and map them to the model either in blender, photoshop or c4d.
-
I'm sorry about the screenshot size I've used some .bat file changes to make my screenshots smaller when using printScrn. Do I need to include the bogies in the model, or will I need to make another model and merge them in Blender/c4d?
-
Thanks, I will see about a GC livery.
-
Five hours in, the DVT model is looking amazing, and I will modify it afterwards with a pantograph to make the Class 91. Also I didn't know that Grand Central operated these. I will have a look at Grand Central and East Coast after doing Intercity Swollow, GNER and VT East Coast.

Been working on this model for around 2h now. I'm using sketchup as I'm not that great with c4d yet. Opinions?
