I am gushing!
While fiddling around with the various train station mods on the interwebs for Tpf I was compiling sort of a wishlist for an improved mod combining the best options.
While reading through the comments of the flexible train station at steam workshop I read something about your "ultimate station mod". And now I'm just astonished.
Here my "wishlist" for inspirational matters:
1. "Engineering related" stuff
- increased number of tracks
- increased variability of track lengths
- curvature
- different curvatures for different ends of tracks
- individual track lengths
- throughtracks/transit tracks (in general and there location (first, middle, end) in particular
- variable platform width / track spacing
- double terminals (so 2 shorter trains may use one and the same platform) maybe even with switches
- Elevated platforms and tracks (not an elevated station, as the building and road connection remains on ground level but the platforms and tracks are some 6 meters above ground)
- Underground platforms (not an underground station, but additional platforms which could for example be aligned in a 90° angle to the regular platforms)
- integrated tram/bus station
- tram/bus passageway on "groundlevel"
- variable road connections: more (3rd, 4th etc), positioning, selection of road type (old/new, small/medium), integrated tram/bus stop
2. "Architecture"
- Various station building styles (1850, 1920, 1990, others)
- Size of station buildings (small, medium, large) as far as I know the regular urban games stations have 5 different sizes
- Size of secondary road connection building (none, small, medium, large)
- An Option to implement adjoining buildings (wing, (clock-)tower)
- variable textures (brick, sandstone, concrete, limestone, sleat, quarrystone, cobble)
- platform halls (none, 1850/1920/1990)
As you have already tackled almost all of the "engineering" stuff just some hints were you might find ideas for the others:
Integrated bus stop can be found in @Patti 's Bahnhof Oberberg and in Tom's Bahnhof Liege-Guillemins.
Elevated platforms are an option in @'eis_os's advanced modern trainstation
Tram/bus passageway on groundlevel are implemented in MaikC's Bahnhof Dresden-Neustadt. (And of course in your own Elevated Station)
Double terminals with switches are part of course of Tom's Standard Bahnhof mit Gleis Doppelbelegeung. (And in various stations by @Bandion)
Concerning the "architecture"
Station building styles are selectable in Tom's Standardbahnhof Plus.
Variable textures were integrated by @KarlCharlson for the Schmalspur-Package (for depots and cargo stations).
Keep up the awesome work and take your time.
Sorry if I missed something took a long while to compose this post.
