A brief supplement to Scenic Excursions ep22 is available for view. It spotlights JK's GWR 2-6-2T 5100 series Prairie Tank steam locos on the Chesham Steel Mill Ore Delivery (ultra) short-line, only this time their fine sound-set is heard in all its glory. At the end it announces the Coal Line's conversion to British steam, in this case Gr1m's LB & SCR K-class 2-6-0 locos, two per train, the second at train rear, reversed. This occurred too late for inclusion in motion footage, so it represented by two still images and YouTube thumbnail:

Wow Lord Raccoon, those are some fine scenic TpF images! Most impressive.

Just when you thought It was safe to go back in the water, I emerge from the depths with a new Transport Fever Scenic Excursions episode. This time round we revisit a short-line coal delivery run between Eastleigh Mine Complex and Chesham Steel Mill. The run was first documented episode six. It has since received significant but not total scenic renovation. A third train has been added. I debated switching the line's 'Canadian National' Mikado steam locos for British motive power, but didn't do so until after 'filming.'

The world is made poorer by the release of Scenic Excursion ep21 - Dunwich-Sittingbourne Railway Passenger Service. Scenery in a mixed bag, spanning the gamut from early/primitive to current/elaborate. Our route is one of the map's too many two-stop passenger lines. As usual, the video contains a number of static-camera scenes and a ride-along segment, 'filmed' with the camera positioned locomotive-left.

I once again pollute the web with a newly published TpF Scenic Excursions episode. It's again a "Revisit," this time of a single-track, one-train route delivering goods to Dunwich, first seen episode seven. Track-side scenery has been altered a good bit since that old episode premiered, hopefully for the better.

YouTube compression degradation isn't much of an issue with this one, except in the one spot I most wanted a crystal clear image. (You'll know where it is. I sort of announce it with text narrative.) Them's the breaks, I reckon.

ALT Gr + G: my computer has no key labeled 'Gr' so far as I know. What does 'Gr' refer to? Thanks again.

For your viewing displeasure, I once again pollute the internet with another release in my so-called TpF Scenic Excursions video series. We re-visit a short, two-stop train route shuttling passengers between the cities of Chesham and Dunwich. First seen ep12, this new episode documents scenic changes and the switch to a slightly more powerful steam locomotive and different coaches.

This is another episode I feel looks better in 'theater mode' rather than 'full screen' due to sometime harsh YT compression degradation. (Static camera position scenes look find either way. It's the central ride-along segment that tends to suffer from compression.)

Lots of great stuff here! As for me, I still play my first, randomly generated, TpF map. It's a failure in many aspects: line routing, station size/placement, track laying and so on. I do feel I've developed a bit of a knack for adding scenic detail along those too few routes worth the effort. Here's a short sample, the most recent of my occasional YT uploads. It documents a brief fuel delivery run between a Refinery and nearby city. It's a simple route. One train. Single track. Next to no interaction with other trains.

Episodes 16 & 17 aren't half bad either, though the latter is infested by too much smoke for its own good. Anything prior becomes progressively more 'iffy' the further back you go.
