Hi, it is possible to change the soundset/horn but it will be more effort then a simple copy and paste. If we are not talking about a manually installed mod (which means it is a Steam MOD or a vanilla vehicle) you will also have to create your own mod (so that your changes will not be overwritten again). What exactly needs to be done depends what you are exactly planning (complete sound set or only horn) and how the involved vehicles are structured. It would help to be more specific if you tell us which vehicle/mod you want to use as source and which one you want to change.
Generraly spoken: For each vehicle (also every repaint) the soundset and the used horn is defined in the *.mdl file. In the block soundset you will find information which sounds/horn should be used. The referrenced path/filename needs follow a defined name convention/structure. You will find further information here: https://www.transportfever2.com/wiki/doku.php?id=modding:vehicletypes&s[]=soundset
Thank you. I shall give this a read over. I was using copy and paste in the vaguest of terms. Which is the best program to edit the files with?

hi all.
is it possible to copy and paste a soundset/horn from on train to another?

Alles anzeigen
In Gimp you have to select →Image →Mode →Grayscale
Then select →Image →Precision →16 bit integer and Perceptual gamma (sRGB)
- Then go to →File →Export As...
- Choose "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\"YourSteamID"\1066780\local\heightmaps" as the folder to save to.
- Name the file "filename".png
Make sure "Select File Type (By Extension)" is selected in the bottom left corner
Then hit Export
Choose the follogwing settings in the new window that plops up:
If you havent directly saved the image to the heightmap folder copy it and paste it there now.
Once you opened Transport Fever 2, start the Map Editor, choose the right Map size and aspect ratio and load the map.
You should now be able to import the heightmap by navigating here:
Super! All works now. I started again as wasn’t getting the pop up before. Thank you again.

I shall give those setting another go later and let you know, thank you

Make sure it is placed in the heightmaps folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\"YourSteamID"\1066780\local\heightmaps). Make sure you converted it to a 16bit greyscale image. And it has to be a png. If its not a png it wont show up I belive.
Yes, I have done all of that I believe. I ran it through gimp to make sure.

I'm working on the topic, currently only one truck is missing, the trailers will then come from the cargo asset set.
Oh super. Is it possible to have a passenger variant using the base game cars?
-
Which Rola mod is this for?
-
Hi all. I was wondering if there was a way to edit this mod attached to carry newer trucks? https://modwerkstatt.com/downloads/rollende-landstrasse
-
Hi all.
Does anyone know if a request has been made for a car train? Do the call them Rola? Like the one in Switzerland 👉

Loving the work!
How long do we have to wait for the mods? 😉
