For the 00's pack I've selected 15 vehicles, including a few that we're less common in Europe like the Cadillac CTS, here an early view of that;

It's a coming soon for the Rolls.
Looking forward to your images and please feed-back if (or not) you note performance impact! Thanks in advance!

Jetzt mal eine dumme Frage: Was ist mit den Stehplätzen? Werden die auch mitgerechnet? Bei einigen Vanilla-Modellen scheint es so gehandhabt zu werden.
Allow me to respond in English. In the vehicle .mdl file the creator specifies the capacity of the vehicle with just one figure. Separate from that one can specify the animations displayed for passengers travelling the line, but that is optional.

It has a touch of the Ford Turbine Truck from 1964

Here a test run vid of Rolls's rolling through town;

The Rolls is progressing nice, actually it's nearing final clean-up and testing.
It is heavy on vertices, coming at 533k tris in lod0
, but I started with over 1.25mil of them so it's not too bad; performance isn't really notable impacted that I noted so far, and I really like the result
.It does have no less then 5 level of detail, the first only for distance 0 to 15m, the 2nd from 15 to 40m reduces the tris to just below 200k, 3rd level is up to 90m and has 88k tris, 4th to 230m with 37k and the last comes with 14k tris reaching to 610m.

I'm still digging from my models gathered over a long time, unfortunately I don't have nice station/variant/touring variants among them. But maybe when I run out of the use-able ones I'll do some new models. However there is plenty to do here, a few more additions for dispatch cars, the NL pack is going slow, a few more trucks plus I have some ideas for a some buildings as well. And then there is a bit of maintenance to do on my running mods

So no worry I won't be bored.

Working on a few more cars again;
Seat Arosa 2001
VW Passat 2000
VW Golf 4 1998, but I'll put these in the 00's pack

VW Bora 1998 (for the 90's pack)
Skoda Rapid 2000, it's a copy of the Bora and I don't think it was made like this, but I kind-a liked the idea plus it's an easy way to get some more content for that 00's pack

-
Wow, that looks very promising.
A feature I would like to have is to build without the vanilla cars and trucks so one can place their own

-
Found this in my 3D collection

-
The preview is already available in the downloads section

Also the update for the Cars of the 90's adding the two other Audi's is now available.
All the Audi's have a higher mesh detail that I didn't want to completely drop, therefore these have an extra level of detail to keep.

Well this is a Coming Soon "Coming Soon!"

Ok, I've decided for a separate Cars of the 00's mod. But soldier312 you have inspired me for a preview mod on the 00's pack.
-
just for fun I made 2 UK Audi TT's, HIS & HERS

Oh there is a side effect on the A6 that I'll leave in as a gimmick, on one or two paints you may note there seems to be a tiny colour difference on the left door panels. From most view angles you won't note it but just when the lighting is right and you look a few times ... to me that is exactly the effect a repaint after a damage can have

-
I'll happily support you on the MAN truck if I can. Feel free to reach out

-
Just an idea; a drive through container scan could be a nice feature. Although I'm confident your ideas already will provide a great mod. Already it looks impressive.

I'm working the 3 Audi's into assets now but that does make we wonder what to do with the Audi A4.
Since it is a 2001 (model d6) it doesn't really belong in a 'cars of the 90's' titled mod...
So I can make it a new mod for cars of the 00's, which later might be extended somewhat (but probably not to the extend of the 90's pack). Or I can just add it in the to 90's pack.
Both options have their pro's and con's;
A separate 00's mod will be easier for mod maintenance and does offer more room for expansion (a single pack should not contain more than approx 30/45 cars for best random effects).
The clear con of separate mods is you'll need to download and enable 2 mods, but more importantly there will not be a single random selection to combine 90's and 00's cars. And in the 00's that random will for the moment (and a while probably) not offer more than 1 or maybe 2 cars...
If I opt for one mod I could make a selector to select 90's/00's/either for the random, there is some risk I run out of random selection options and will need to work around that. This obviously increases the construction complexity so maintaining and expanding will be less easy. Another benefit though is that there is no duplication of materials that are shared across models, requiring less total disk space, but this won't matter for game performance as the game will simply use the files from the mod last in your load sequence.
On the longer run there's a 3rd option, to have two mods (90's and 00's (and maybe more who knows) ) and to make yet another separate mod that provides the random feature with cars from any of the base packs. In this case I could even throw in other cars like e.g. the G-class or that Roller.
I tend to put the A4 to a new 00's pack and throw in a Seat Arosa on it's side. But I'd like to hear your opinions and perhaps alternatives.
Thanks!

Happy new year everyone!

That is a pitty, but at least good to see it won't stop you from modding!
Keep well and stay healthy
