Hello everyone, I'm a newbie to TF2 and love this game, there is so much to setting up and maintaining a growing 'economy'...
I've been researching plugins for a while trying to find a TRUE supply chain management tool BUT I have not been able to find one. I've tried developing a mod, by reverse engineering some very good mods in circulation at the moment with the help of CoPilot. I'm a retired IT professional and while I have a lot of commercial, design and development experience, I do not know LUA or the game's architecture so I was HEAVILY dependent on CoPilot. That proved to be a disaster and a half, after 3 days of apologies, 'I now know what the problem is' and 'This is why this will work', I called it quits!! ![]()

These requirements are top shelf and will probably need to be refined based on feasibility and time but I thought I'd outline them here for people so I can get their views!
Basically this is a Supply Management System, based on the 'Industry Statistics' window, that allows players to identify 'consumer' Industries that have capacity to consume product from 'supplier' Industries nearby. 'Consumers' are sorted by distance (travelled or as the crow flies - unknown at this point what is possible) from the 'supplier' and their capacity to accept as much of the supplier's available product (production - shipment while taking into account Transport %).
A lot still needs to be worked out BUT this gives people an idea of what i he mod is meant to do. I'm happy to discuss this further with gamers who may be interested in this type of mod as well as mod developers who may be looking for their next project ![]()
All the best
