A busy day at approach of the newly rebuilt Edinburgh Waverley Station at the northern end of the East Coast Mainline. It was transformed from a rather cluttered terminus into a streamlined through-station that connects to the rest of Scotland and the UK. The 4-line wide track on the picture is the ECML that funnels into the new station, whereas the branch that veers off to the right was the old sidings that passed the old termini station, though the sidings remained open for through traffic as to not congest the new station.
