I have had to condense many areas north of London into a smaller configuration (otherwise I'd need a full map of just London). Seen here are the extents of the Great Northern Railway's infrastructure north of London. At the bottom is the East Coast Mainline, emerging from Alexandra Palace to the right, through Hornsey, Copenhagen Tunnel and into King's Cross. Above that; The Northern Heights line which also leaves King's Cross, for the newly built Highgate, a plunge into darkness beneath Luton, and then into the countryside before reaching Northampton. The three viaducts overhead are as follows; Left: The goods line from west London that calls into London Bishopsgate Goods, or Chelmsford down the line. The GNR, GER & GWR all have access to this. The middle viaduct: The York Way road viaduct that allows a more direct crossing from Luton into east London. The right: The GER's line into Luton from Chelmsford. The GNR used to call into here also with a short branch from King's Cross that began just to the right of York Way.
