An edited version of the "Kinki" map available at Steam, with 286 cities, more that were plopped up after. Currently savegames run at 1.25 GB+, and increasing. 750+ mods being run.

Network primarily based on real life counterparts, including real-life lines that are being built (i.e. Chuo Shinkansen), planned (i.e. Shikitsu-Nagayoshi Line), formerly planned but never built (i.e. Shin-Keihan Line connecting Ishiyama Station to Nagoya Station), and abandoned lines (i.e. Sanko Line); as well as lines being lobbied to be built (i.e. Shikoku Shinkansen), with a few lines of my own (i.e. freight spur to the north of Kobe City) - all with adjustments for scaling and creative reasons.

Scaling prioritizes network recreation, so apart from the Shinkansen HSR system stations are in general small (80 m) and run very close together, with many lines running "kaisoku" rapid trains skipping some stations together with "futsu" local trains. Freight traffic mixed with passenger traffic, except for spurs to freight terminals.

Because mods are heavily European-centric and other limitations, I consider this is a Germanified/European version of the real life deal. Churches substituting for castles, Soviet buildings for temples/shrines, Lufthansa (which has a cohesive fleet available) airplanes for JAL/ANA, trains running on the right, and so on.
