In the fictional latin american country of San Teodoros money is short and the rolling stock is therefore somewhat dated.
Fortunately there are plenty of coal and workers that can take care of the old but powerful locomotives that has been bought cheap from the US.
As for the roadvehicles the people and companies of San Teodoros buy what they can afford which has lead to an interesting mix of second hand european and US vehicles and lately even some former Russian/Soviet vehicles appearing on the roads.
