Timber awaiting to be hauled down the mountain to the station 1.5km away at a recently reopened logging site. Over the next 10 years it will serve the general area to sustainably harvest mature growth timber resources while planting seedlings in to start the next generation of growth. Why truck such a short distance? With an elevation change of over 60m in .5km, engineers determined it to be more cost effective to regrade an old haul road that services a quarry to more modern standards.
