Wir begrüßen euch in der Fan-Community zu den Spielen Transport Fever und Train Fever, den Wirtschaftssimulatoren von Urban Games. Die Community steht euch kostenlos zur Verfügung damit ihr euch über das Spiel austauschen und informieren könnt. Wir pflegen hier einen freundlichen und sachlichen Umgang untereinander und unser Team steht euch in allen Fragen gerne beiseite.

Steam tram more flavors

a while ago, i downloaded some tram mods, some are great.

But also a cargo trams where outdated, texture and meshes did not look good.

Start modifing the mdl, to put the V2 version of the steam tram(vanilla) in it's place, start looking better, only goods in a passenger waggon, did not look good.

Exported the vanilla mesh, closed the windows, added sliding doors.


Also i noted that the original steam tram, and the updated one where not the same.

Made an extra tram with 2 passenger waggons.

  • That was a verry good idea. My transport network relies on the cargo trams and I would be verry pleased to get a bigger variety of them.

    As you know, some of the original cargo trams were passenger vehicles that got converted to cargo vehicles at the end of the passenger career like it is done with passenger planes.

    Are you already in contact with the original modder to ask for a permission to upload your work? I would be verry pleased to use yours in the future as well

      the model is part of the game (build35720), res/models/model/vehicle/tram/dampftram_v2.mdl

      you must check if you have this, than it can work, if not update your game.


      i used the model ingame (locomotive & wheels), took pickture's of the waggon, and build a cargo it like that.

      I'm still thinking what to add,

      - maybe a bulk waggon

      - maybe flat waggon


      but i'm still fine tuning, testing.

    • So the covered windows and side opening are part of your custom cargo?

      Side openings, are not there they are the original doors, in the doors are the only windows left.

      the rest is removed.

      i modified the original, to fit the needs.


      but i still busy to stack the cargo,the spacing is just off in the Z-Axis.
