I'm excited to present something I've been working hard on; both in the game and outside of it.


A new Rail Network Map that depicts the world I've been detailing and showcasing to you all since December 2023. I've placed the County names on the Map as well!

The Great Subway Project !

We are at 425 actual passenger stations right now.

  • 401 Subway Stations (Includes Stations with Railroad Transfers)
  • 24 Commuter Railroad Only Stations (None are pictured; as this is primarily a Subway Map)
  • 42 Functional Yard Tracks at the moment
  • 6185 signals
  • 3213 Waypoints
  • 272 trains
  • 1602 km of Track
  • Over 40 Lines!

Assets

  • 181,285 are Trees, Rocks, or Fences
  • 119,309 are other manually placed assets

Even after all of that, there is still more to detail! Not every station is fully detailed to my desires yet, but we are working at a pace to finish before TpF3!

    • Hi BR462, I had the Game opened and began to lay down the interlined routes first one at a time. After finishing one I would return to where I started and build out the next. I did this until the map skeleton was finished. I added the land, water, and county names as I saw the NYC map and saw that the Boroughs were referenced so thought it would add a nice touch.


      I used https://tennessine.co.uk/metro/ as my primary software to make it happen.


      Whenever I was unable to play the game and map build at the same time, I would take bird-eye shots with the U/I enabled and try to recreate that way.


      It took many weeks, but it became a personal project that I wanted to see to the end. Besides, I really enjoy being able to reference all of my stations with the game turned off ^^
