Ja Wahnsinn
Hi Leute,
werde jetzt gleich ein bissel Live Modden. Ihr seid herzlich eingeladen
Edit: Falsch Verlinkt, jetzt aber dann Live
Edit2: Stream beendet.
Super, hab mal wieder was gutes Verpasst...
@JimKnopf824 : that would be nice!
Ente! Ente! Ente! Oh, crap...
Waaaah!!!!! GEIL!
An update on the proceedings and a small behind the scene:
As you may have been aware from the previous images I got the Karlex clean, which means like an empty canvas.
This image shows it clearly:
Grimes already added lots of details through 3D work, which leaves "little" to do with normal mapping. However,
"little" still means some hours work. With added normal mapping it looks like this:
Although not all may see apparent, when ingame you can appreciate all small added details. Although the 3D-work
is most important, closely followed by the texturing: normal mapping is what, in my opinion, makes a good model a
great model. God is in the detail.
After that's finished, you can really work the livery. Some people start painting first and do the normal map last. Wrong
way around as far as I'm concerned - some parts on the normal maps force changes to the livery at certain points. Mostly
extra shadowing or different weathering. Save yourself work and start normal mapping before doing the paintwork.
And now, the paintwork starts. But to give you something to gawk at:
Sieht doch gut aus
You got it ready? Awesome intensifies...
I'm not sure, I thought I replaced it entirely.
So, a little update on the VT 18.16. Unfortunately I could not spend a lot of time with it, but still progress has been made.
More and more normal mapping, adding shadow tinting to the applied normal mapping for more realism and depth, and
the first start with the colors and lettering. I'm not entirely sure about the colors used, although they are right (coded)
ones. The same old difference between the "right" colors and how to look ingame I guess.
But enough talk, a sample:
