One week ago i did a small bike trip through some villages in Landkreis Emsland to get some more impressions for my own "Waldland Project". While biking, I passed this (older) wind turbine which looked very interesting. So i decided to take a chance in the modding section and build this same wind turbine as an (decoration) asset for the game.

This is how the model currently looks like. The blades are for the most part finished but much remains to be done on the "head" and the pole also needs to be made.

Below I have added a photo i made of the real mill and my progress on the model. Like my repaint "skills", my modding "skills" are not that great either. I will try to make it as realistic as possible but I can't promise anything that it will be perfect

Update: The "cone" shape on the head is finished and started on building the anemometer on the back of the turbine.

I'm still not completely happy with some of the parts myself so there's a good chance I'll redo them

Update: As I said in the previous post, I was not happy with some parts of the model. Therefore, after some research and some more visits to the real turbine, I have rebuilt the head and the turntable behind the head. I also moved the blades slightly so it looks a bit more like the real thing.

Currently I am rebuilding the back of the turbine as well. After that I will start on the tower. I will give another update when the back is finished as well

Update: While I am building/improving the Enercon E-40/5.40 Wind Turbine (above this post) I have also already begun work on another turbine. This time it is the LW15/75. Made by the Dutch turbine builder Lagerwey. These turbines are even smaller in height than the already “smaller” E-40/5.40 and have only two blades.

(I have not yet taken pictures of the real LW 15/75 myself. So here is a picture from the website “Wind Turbine Models”)

Update: Hey everyone. It's been quite a while again since i last posted.

It's because this year is my exam year. (Learning is 10 times more and worse than normal ).

But it does determine a large part of my future. So unfortunately I have less time to work on my schönbau project and modding projects...

Anyways. In the last few “weeks” I have made a start on the nacelle of the Lagerwey turbine. Or rather half of it. I will copy and paste the other half to it as soon as the first half is finished. Since both sides are almost identical to each other.

The same goes for the E-40 turbine. Although things are a bit more complicated there. Currently I am still working on making the right “shape” for the nacelle. I hope i can finish this next weekend so i can finally start working/continuing on the tower.

That's all for now. I'll send another update when I've (finally) made some progress again. Currently it's really going at snail's pace speed
