Oh yes, you can!
Buonanotte a tutti

One of the most iconic Trifase-locomotives was the E.432 because of its enormous steam development. You can be sure to see this spectacle in the game!
The pantographs had to be completely remodelled, which was a pain because of their complexity.

Neben meinem Drehstrom-Projekt (F.S. Three-Phase Pack (the impossible project)) tut sich auch hier was.
-
Not sure if this combination was possible in reality, but here it is!

The E.330 is the first trifase-locomotive for express trains. It reached a top speed of 100 km/h already in 1914. But as the mechanic construction was built too weak, they always had problems with it, until their retirement in 1963.
Please look at the steam!

Hirschkäfer
that's funny. The "camel", also known as E.330, was seen on its first test run. I'm not very happy with its colors, needs some adjustment. Also, some mistakes on the E.431 were corrected.

Some said that we need the former Italian three-phase system "trifase" in Transport Fever, because it is an important chapter in railway history. Some said that this wouldn't be possible. But some said that you can reach any goal, if you really want to reach it. And this is why I am here.
Time to present you: The Italian Trifase Package!

This package contains the famous double-wire catenary and some of the electric locomotives used. This system was applied in Northern Italy on more than 3000 kilometres of track and used from around 1900 to 1976. It was known for being very energy-efficient, and the locomotives were very powerful. Power was regulated by ... mineral water
, which became hot and caused these electric locomotives to steam when accelerating. All locomotives that will be built are overhauls of MSTS-models. For most of them permission was already granted. The plan of locomotives isn't final, but it gives you an idea of what to expect:
Cargo locomotives:
- E.550 (1908) - WIP
- E.552 (1922) - permission granted
- E.554 (1928) - permission granted
Passenger locomotives:
- E.330 (1911) - finished
- E.431 (1922) - finished
- E.432 (1928) - finished
All locomotives will be available in black (older version) and brown (newer version), and with raised and lowered pantographs.
And if you still can't believe it, here is a preview of the catenary system:
The most important factor of this project is a perfectly working international teamwork, involving 3 countries:
- Italy (models, permissions, research) - Mauri, Renzo Grassi, Niels Picciotto, Enrico Onori
- Germany (catenary system) - Yoshi
- Austria (planning, putting everything together and ingame, improvements, sounds) - Doschi (ex DomTrain)
To all involved persons, thank you very much!!!

I hope you enjoy it. This is such an interesting chapter of railway history that just can't be missed out.

-
That's not possible. They changed the catenary posts, but not the wires. It would be possible to have the trifase-catenary rebuilt for DC (1 centered wire), but not 2 parallel wires.
-
Yes, some Swiss railways use this one.
There is only one problem: Since you have to place them manually, you have to delete every single post when upgrading to DC, which is very annoying.

-
-
Trifase is possible, and I will show you how, soon.

-
I am sorry, there are no further additions planned. I could imagine a trifase-package instead.

Edit: But if you like, or anyone else, feel free to create repaints.

I knew this question would come.
I did it, because it looked better in this stretched version. But Hungary is nice too! Thanks again for your models, they made everything much easier (applied the bogies on the Vivalto, too).

Here are E464, Medie Distanze and Vivalti! The entry here in the Webdisk will follow on Monday. Buon divertimento e buona fine settimana!

Today it is exactly 1 year ago when I used the Vivalto to get from La Spezia to Pisa.
So that was a reason to finish it today. There is also a complete overview of all included variants. I took the background image myself when I was in Monterosso the day after Pisa.

I love the E.428! Finally something really old.
My modern pack is almost finished, just 2 coaches are still in work. And one of them was already seen at a test run.
Due to my final exams I cannot say if the set can be released this week.
