With TpF a delivery must be made once a year, otherwise the chain will not start properly.
So you probably have to send more vehicles to your lines so it runs, even if they are not busy at the beginning and will be negative!

Is somehow silly, but maybe it will be better in TpF2 ...

    Is this correct?
Is it possible to have longer routes so long as they get a delivery each year?

I am playing a game with a few mods, but none of them are the ones for removing road traffic
But I have played through to the 1910s so far, and there is no traffic on the roads
Does anyone know what year traffic should start to appear?

    Good afternoon

First up - apologies if this has already been resolved, but I do not speak German, so it's difficult for me to find a solution in the forum already.

My issue is with the number of towns which appear on a map, and how far apart they are

I play Medium maps (the 4K maps tend to slow down later in the game) but when I load these maps, there's only about 5-6 cities on the map. A few months ago, when I would generate a map, there would be more than 10.

I tried Gwinda's map mod, and whether I make the settings high or low, it seems to always deliver the same number of towns.

Can anyone suggest how to get more cities, or cities which are sometimes closer together?

    Thank you

    Good afternoon everyone

Until recently, I have always just started a new map fresh, and not given much thought into where lines would go. I might connect cities A, B & C, and then have an idea which city might be next. But there was not large planning going on.

This past weekend, I began a new game, on Rjoande's Siberian map, and before I started, I took screen shots of the northern part of the map, stitched them together in MS Paint, and began to draw lines everywhere: where stations would go (approximately), where lines would go, which resources I could cart to which industries etc

Has anyone tried something similar and could give advice/experience? I'm not much a computer-graphics expert (which is why I was using MS Paint) but suggestions would be great

    Cheers 8)

Apart from the oft-quoted answer that this is Train Fever, not Plane Fever, the real issue with airports is best shown in a game like Transport Tycoon
Essentially, our maps are too small to make air travel viable.

Yeah, the game could benefit from having more diverse and complicated industries. And there are some mods around that've had a stab at that. But map size is the main restriction.

I had similar thoughts about ships - since we have waterways. But apart from some passenger ferries, they'd have no use. Again, just like aircraft, they are transport modes which are about really long trips. And TF's maps are small by comparison
