Hi, do you think it will be possible to do small island platforms as seen in the many east German rural railway stations?

I had no idea about this chapter of rail history at all, this is amazing! Thank you very much.
The model looks great! You have managed to put some amazing character into it!
Had a go at making narrow platforms, possible and it worked, also by making a new slot you can get them to align sort of.
But then the problem hits, you cant put any track next to them, and if you manage to ctd. So this isn't moddable by my measure.
see for yourself. agunter_stations.zip
Ok, this was actually quite easy to implamement, just extended the platform's 'lanes' so that they diverged over the tracks. Proof of concept.
I need a modeler now to model a crossing, I do not model and it would be a very simple couple of blocks for platforms.
well no replies so far, have done two experiments,
Track doesn't appear to accept blank metadata so looks like all track must be a platform track and it also looks like track modules can't accept models on them.
So for a long time when creating stuff in TPF2 I get really irritated that there must be an underpass to reach other platforms. this is just not how many stations operate and such I'm looking at creating a 'At grade passenger crossing' module
Before I embark on this I wanted to know what had been learnt already about creating modules and what you think is possible.
I was thinking of having the module a track module that would not act as a platform track. This way you could configure trains to stop at one end of a station. And at a later date a dropped curve could be added to platforms, though not important at first with the low platforms tpf2 uses. The biggest challenge would be making sure pedestrians would not walk through trains, so I would like it to be a bit of a level crossing module. All very difficult stuff. Not sure I will event do this but I wanted to guage if other attempts have been made.
Hey, just discovered your mods !! thank you !!
When I was in Vienna hbf a while ago I always remember this moment a train pulled in consisting of a Czech loco, a few Ukrainian sleepers and a lot of Slovak carriages. I wondered if it would be possible if you could create some Slovak carriages? I expect the Ukrainian and Czech parts will be converted from tpf eventually but we never had Slovak carriages. I expect it could be a repaint from the UIC Czech waggons. Is it possible?
might be an idea to make some track that is of British loading gauge as the way that pantograph is stretched is not looking so good
Just wanted to check, but are you ok if I was to create a repaint ?
Would you consider doing the middle door entry waggons?
This is an error I was not aware of. Tom is right the code should be written in such a way that checks for assets to avoid crashes. I cant see outright why this is which means ill have to research. I have no spare time at the moment - hint why the easy to fix concrete fix hasn't been done yet - so hold on tight
PS Nothing is messing with hardcoded stuff here, the lotdepth and lotwidth are just grandface value alterations. Not hardcoding by any means and the button do pretty much work.
@mimo there has always been a problem with the mod on start, it has never been compatible and until UG allow modification of the core game files in some way then we are at a total loss.
Furthermore please do try reading descriptions, google translate does a decent job at getting the point across if you cannot speak English.
@mimo I apologise my German is awful - if there is an error not related to leaving the mod active when new maps are created please let me know.
@Markus260 - the mod is not designed so that you generate maps with it active. This will remain the case until UG open up more of their game to modding as unfortunately too much is hard coded. You must create your map save it exit then load the map again from the save file and add the mod. This mod has never been usable on initial map creation as doing it before latest update will have caused errors nonetheless.
S-Bahns are why I play this game, looking forward to the release (although I don't care for using this train irl
)
Anyone interested in making some new eurofima stock ![]()
Just seen this thread, it look very nice ![]()
It certainly is far from perfect but its much better.
Any suggestions on improvement further?
