    I can't see the transportfever.net mods either.
    Relevant part of the log:

Looks like there is some problem with the JSON file describing the repository. Don't know what since it's encrypted though.

    Thanks Xanos.
Another suggestion: I've seen that some people have asked for a macOS version. The windows version of the mod manager works with Wine, at least on Linux, but presumably on macOS as well, though for it to work there needs to be a file called "TransportFever.exe" in the game directory so the mod manager detects that it is the Transport Fever directory. Maybe the detection could be altered slightly, so it also accepts a "TransportFever" file (without the prefix), so it would be easier to use under wine for people on macOS.

Am einfachsten wäre es einfach als Anmerkung hinzuschreiben das des mit 7z gepackt ist und man das Programm 7z runterladen muss. Ich bin mir grade nicht sicher ob windows das von sich aus entpacken kann.

Yup, windows can't unpack .7z or .RAR files by default. You need either 7-zip or WinRAR to open them.
WinRAR can unpack .7z, and 7-zip can unpack .rar (the mod manager uses it for .rar files) so you don't need to have both. (Personally I prefer 7-zip.)

Okay, I thought the mod manager supported 7-zip files, or at least the mod page claims it does, maybe it only does on Windows at the moment?, I'm on Ubuntu. The mod itself is fine and I have the 7-zip packages installed, so that's not the issue.

It should be easy enough to add support for it on Linux though using the command line version of 7-zip that is easily installable on modern distributions (TPFMM could even prompt if it was missing.), and it should be simple enough on windows as well. It's something I could even contribute myself if the source code of the mod manager was available.

    Hi again

There seems to be an issue with some mods that are compressed-with 7-zip, looks like TPFMM tries to decompress .7z files with unzip:

    Code
End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of /mnt/disk/compr/Transport Fever/game/TPFMM/download/nown_post_mod_vehicles_usa_1.7z or
            /mnt/disk/compr/Transport Fever/game/TPFMM/download/nown_post_mod_vehicles_usa_1.7z.zip, and cannot find /mnt/disk/compr/Transport Fever/game/TPFMM/download/nown_post_mod_vehicles_usa_1.7z.ZIP, period.

    Hi

I'm having issues with some of your mods on linux due to the case of the file names and names in lua files differing.

The MP54 and the MP70 crash the game as there are model files not found, the k4s pacific works, but the texture on the front of the train is missing.

    EDIT:

Using a small script I think I have a list of what's misnamed in some of the mods (though I could be missing stuff):

    Edit2:
Bash script attached (with txt extension as .sh isn't allowed). Works on linux, may or may not work in a bash shell on windows or macOS)

All Steam mods have to be mirrored and packed. Due to limited webspace and traffic, the maximum size of a mod that is mirrored by TPFMM is limited (currently about 200 MB per mod).

One thing that might help is to re-compress the files to the 7z format (or .zip files with LZMA compression) when uploading to the mirror. I did a small test on the file downloaded for this mod. The original zip file is about 1.7 mb, creating a 7z-archive with standard settings with 7-zip gave me a 1.2 mb file. This could reduce bandwidth/storage use a fair bit at the expense of some processing power.

The 2.5 version (I haven't tested 2.4) of the mod seems to be broken on linux (and probably macOS as well), at least on the non-steam version I downloaded from the other side you posted this on. The files in New_Industry_2/res/models/mesh/station/road/post start with an upper-case letter, while the lua code refers to filenames that start with a lower-case letter. This probably works fine on windows, as windows treats filenames as case-insensitive, but that is not the case on unix-like operating systems like linux and macOS. When I select the mailbox the game gives a lua error saying the mesh file letter_box_new_lod_0.msh does not exist.

I haven't tested the mod in depth so there may be other issues, though renaming the files in New_Industry_2/res/models/mesh/station/road/post to be all lower-case fixes the problem with the mailbox at least.

    Thanks :)

Sorry if this has been asked before, my german is not great.
I notice there are a few mods on the steam workshop where the download button is greyed out:

Why isn't it possible to download these mods.

I also have another minor weird issue, when starting the mod manager, the window appears on the top left of the screen, with most of the window outside the screen, only the bottom right of the status bar is visible. It's not a huge issue (as I can move it with alt + drag), but it's a bit of an annoyance.

I am using it on Ubuntu 17.10.

Also thanks for this great tool, it's nice for us that bought the game on GoG.
