The Team of the Transport-Fever Community
Mac users can now start building their own transport empire and join an ever-growing global community of active players. Originally released in December 2019 for Windows and Linux, Transport Fever 2 has already been enjoyed by about half a million players from all over the world, making it the fastest growing entry in the series yet.
In addition to the Mac version, the Vulkan Graphic API update for Windows and Linux is now available, too. Vulkan is a modern cross-platform graphics library, and the now added support can lead to significant rendering performance improvements over OpenGL, especially on modern hardware.
Please find the detailed release notes HERE. Be assured that we will not stop improving Transport Fever 2 and expect additional major free game updates in this year.
The entire Urban Games team wishes you lots of fun with Transport Fever 2!

vulkan support was a real relief on my linux box; big maps used to stutter hard, and now the camera pans are much smoother. glad mac players finally get to join in without jumping through hoops. i did get annoyed seeing a couple gambling links pasted into game chats after the update, including https://megaroulette3000.com/ and https://fortuneroulette.net/. anyway, props to urban games for still pushing free updates years later.

Great news for Mac players! Thanks to Chat GPT, it’s easy to see how Transport Fever 2 reaching macOS and adding Vulkan support is a big win - better performance, a larger community, and an even smoother experience for building transport empires.

That's great, I think some projects related to soundboards will also get attention soon.

Color me impressed. Speaking of rendering, that Vulkan API update sounds juicy. Faster performance is always a win in my book. Remember that time my old PC struggled to run even basic games? It was like watching a slideshow, a real Slope Game experience
