So basically, I have TPF1 (who would have figured out). The game by itself is enjoyable but one thing I really like doing is installing mods on it. So basically, I install a lot of mods, and I installed some mods just earlier, however, I couldn't find them in game on the loading menu. I also went to the "free game" menu to try and see if I could start a new game and have the mods. Still no luck. So I did some digging around on the downloads area and found that it tells me this:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/c0uns06k13lb8v6/Missing%20downloaded%20files%20help.png?dl=0
Missing downloaded files. So I need some help to fix this, I couldn't find anything to help me with it (no useful YT videos, no useful google searches) so now I'm taking it to the community. Any solutions?
TL;DR: Mods won't download because of "Missing Downloaded files", looking for help

Good morning!
First of all, You can upload and attach pictures in this forum directly via the "Dateianhänge" button below the text field; there is no need to doubly hide them at some 3rd party upload hoster and then link to that site not directly, but via the Steam dereferrer of all sites
Which mods are You looking to use? Did You "subscribe" to them via Steam (a method that may be simple to use at first glance but comes with major downsides) or download them from this site?
I trust You do know how to add a mod to TPF1 in general. Unpacking the downloaded .rar/.zip file into steamapps\common\Transport Fever\mods will result in the game finding it and showing it in the mod list. What´s left to be done is activating it in the game (either before starting a new one or before loading an already running one), then it ought to work.
Any errors that may occur then tend to be caused by the mod itself. It may be interferences between mods that are occasionally mended by adjusting the loading order or bugs within the mod itself.
However, without knowing which exact mod You refer to, it would take a guess to offer a solution to Your predicament. Please do provide more details.

DH-106 Thanks for replying, I didn't realize I could directly add images, so thanks for that. But yes, all of my mods are downloaded off of steam and I do know how to add a mod to TPF1. All of the mods I've downloaded (but haven't worked) are mostly multiple unit mods. Some are road depot mods. I'll provide a list of links to the mods that don't work:

Hm... a quick fix that may or may not work would be to de-subscribe and then re-subscribe to the mod, thereby forcing the game to redownload the files.
However: A mod subscription on that vapour site comes with a major downside. As You are probably aware, the "subscribed to" mods on Your hard disk are carbon copies of the variant stored on Steam, this both includes auto-updates and auto-deletions in case the mod is removed from Steam in any case. This, especially with TPF1, has the potential to ruin Your savegame quite rapidly. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to remove the mods from Steams reach. Here is a lexicon article explaining how this can be done, it is rather simple.
I´d therefore suggest applying this treatment to one of Your troubled mods just to see if it does something. This may lead to 3 options:
1. The mod will then work, in which case no further actions are required
2. The game will CTD; the stdout.txt in the crash dump directory will tell what exactly went wrong (this is much more helpful than a small bug report line from Steam)
3. The mod will show up but behave weird, e. g. show purple default textures or something like this. This can be tackled as well by re-downloading the mod.
Also, do consider browsing the download section on here for mods instead of relying on Steam. Those do require manual installation, which You are familiar with, and are not subject to the not entirely praiseworthy auto updates. -
I tried it, letting the game update itself, once it does I'll come back with results..

Wait am I supposed to put ALL the mods in a different folder or did I just screw up my save?

Ok. This appears to be case 2 of the 3 I mentioned.
As far as the file is concerned, it looks like You moved the mod with the steam ID 1721600605 to the separate directory. Before opening Your savegame, You´ll need to deactivate the consequently no longer present steam mod and activate the copied version in the mod directory - the game will not locate the copied mod on its own; You need to tell it where to look.
For this, before loading a game, click on the little "+" indicated on the loading screen. If the copy has been done correctly, You ought to find the mod listed no longer with the source "Steam" but with the source "Local mod directory" (or similar) .

Alright, but my only problem is that I literally cannot open the mod directory, it will give me the crash when I try to. Anything I can do (if not how can I reset my game? I'm on Mac, yes, I'm on Mac pathetic I know)
-
This does make things a bit complicated for me... I have zilch experience with Mac and am afraid that I can only offer very limited help with this.
But just to make sure: You cannot open the directory from Macs equivalent of Windows file explorer? Or does the crash happen when You try to open the activated mods ingame before loading the game?

DH-106 I'm providing a screenshot here (words in black blurred out for personal reasons, also file size was too big so once again, third party dropbox link :/)

Did this happen when You click on "Continue" or on "Load Game"?
Take this with a grain of salt because, as mentioned, I have never run a Mac and I may be far off the mark here. I´ll gladly defer to anyone who has experience with such a system. However: it would *seem* that the Mac does pre-load files and already searches for them in vain a bit earlier than a PC would?
Consider re-subscribing to the mod in question on Steam - if this bug happened after You copied the mod out of the Steam directory, this *ought to* bring the missing files back.
For all beyond that, I´m slowly approaching my wits end - with a PC, all relevant directories are accessible and copying mods into the user mod directory (which is, again on PC, ..\steamapps\common\TransportFever\mods and then contains further subdirectories with the following general formatting: \creator_modname_sequence number\ ) will lead to those showing up in the game load menu in the above mentioned way. I have done this multiple times and never hit any snags there.
I do gather from Your words though that things are different on a Mac. What is needed here is someone who knows those systems to help You...

DH-106 It happens when I click "load game", and I tried re-installing a mod, but then crashed with a different mod this time, so i tried re-installing every mod, to no avail.

What does happen after resubscribing every mod from steam?

What does happen after resubscribing every mod from steam?
Well it just crashed me with a different mod, and after a lot of stuff, I resorted to resetting my game and resubscribing to all my mods. Thanks for trying to help, though! (also huge fan of your advanced camera views mod)
