SketchUp isn't very well suited for complex, nuanced shapes. It's a tool mostly for architectural applications, and the tools it offers for creating natural shapes are restrictive and cumbersome.
I know it's easy to criticize others and tell them what to do instead, but I worked with SketchUp for a very long time and then switched over to Blender; if you want to save yourself time and effort, I strongly recommend it.

Is it just me or is the locomotive a bit.....square? The real thing is a bit slanted on the sides, it's got a little cheek fat.
Your model looks like something straight out of SketchUp. -
While I must admit I'm upset by how long it's been taking, I know exactly how long projects like this can take & I'd probably need twice as long to do it myself. When it's finally done, it will be extra sweet!

An engine unfortunately still sorely missing from the vehicle selection.

No way, I thought that last picture was real. Incredible work!
-
Good progress, guys! Can't wait to see the whole thing finished, even if it takes another year. Which compels me to ask, do you have plans to release the already finished vehicles separately? I could very much do with some more good vehicles, especially Scandi ones.

Would personally also be very interested in more Dutch trains. A short list of missing types:
DDM/DD-AR/DDZ
SLT
SNG
ICNG -
The InterCity 225 is an electric high speed train in the United Kingdom, comprising a Class 91 electric locomotive, nine Mark 4 coaches and a Driving Van Trailer.
I think it would be neat to have this in the same seeing as the number of European high speed trains and the number of UK rolling stock available in and for the game are both lacking.Specs:
Available from: 1988
Weight: 476 tons
Capacity: 46 per car in First, 74 per car in Standard
Power: 6075 hp
Tractive effort: ???
Top speed: 225 km/h
Lifespan: 35 years

Will the X2000 be in the pack? Both other themes have a high speed train. Europe has the TGV and America has the Acela Express, so the Nordics should have the X2000.

That's very cool; I don't think anyone has made an Australian vehicle before.

And to make this clear: there will be no permission for a fictitious repaint of the BR 423.
That's fine, because I don't need one.
I'm not sure what your accusation is about, by the way, but it doesn't ring a bell. -
The Sprinter Light Train are not even close to BR 423 and 425 ... different floor hig, different doors, different roof, different windows, different car body, different front, completely different passenger compartment... the only things the have in common is that both are trains...
That's not true - you could take a BR 425, repaint it in a different livery, but a different cabin on it and the differences would be negligble.
For starters:
[Blockierte Grafik: http://i.imgur.com/uOQQG6Z.jpg]
[Blockierte Grafik: http://i.imgur.com/pzi2uF3.jpg]As you can see, the doors and windows are identical, and the only thing noticeably different about the car design is the extra window on the BR425 and the higher skirting on the top of the SLT.
In Transport Fever, telling the difference between these cars would be almost impossible without the liveries. -
Hey guys, I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I figured it would be appropriate regardless. Since the Sprinter Light Train, used in the Netherlands, is largely identical to the Baureihe 425, which in turn is largely similar to the Baureihe 423, I was wondering if anyone was planning on making it too. As far as the exterior shape goes, only the cabin shape is different.
---

I'm not building these for Transport-Fever.
As 3D printing doesn't support dds textures, i won't be adding them, sorry!Could you share the model so that we may use it in Transport Fever?

Looks like I didn't place
Oh well, congratulations to every winner!
Awesome, I got the least amount of downloads.

You're welcome!
Looks much nicer than the windowless version.

If that's what the future of the 80s looked like, I wouldn't be so crazy about it. (It didn't - that's 60s futurism. Wrong picture.)
80s futurism in particular is very fascinating, because some of it looks like today's world A LOT. It's a great source of inspiration to me as a graphic designer, or as someone who likes to dabble in a bit of futurism every now and then. The use of colours and patterns is of course pretty popular in fashion and web design right now, but there's more to it than just that. Some examples:

Yes, in real time. You just create a profile for the game, pick a bunch of shaders, and when you launch the game, your shaders will load. I use it in many games.

How will you know? If someone manages to increase the efficiency of steam engines to 65 % for example, they'll be futuristic, because they're suddenly better than all diesel-, otto- or hydrogen-cell engines. Or may gyro-engines recieve a revival. Or there will be a kind of engine that does not exist yet. By the way, all the electric engines for cars or buses are extremely old, they just have a "revival" nowadays: This car is like a Tesla, just with electric motor, built in 1908, this bus from 1912, purely electric. May I should model it, it is swiss
.I don't think you completely understand the essence of futurism - which is, rather than to be futuristic in technology or design, the latter of which is not the case with many of these mods, but to portray something that will be deemed as such by contemporaries.
Your bus, for example, does not look futuristic. It does not look like any vehicle that will ever be made. It may be futuristic in concept, but it looks rather more like Duplo or Playmobil. The "Galaxy" bus, for example, is futuristic. And it's typically futuristic, by today's standards.
I'd even go as far as to say that your "Giruno" model from your train pack is more futuristic than either of your "futuristic" vehicles. And, by the way, that's a very nice model of a very good-looking train. So I wonder what your thinking was with your "futuristic" vehicles - especially considering you're always one Google Image search away from hundreds of actually futuristic designs.
