Alles anzeigenI fixed some of the bugs, just download the original-mod and my fix then overwrite all files.
Fix includes:
- corrected height (length and wide is correct in the original mod)
- turning wheels
- fixed bogies
- transition between the cars
Still no old features like doors and no of the new features like interior, rust, dirt etc. , this will be only avaliable after a rebuild and without permission from
Oppie@SpoorObjecten i don't touch the original mod.
Oh wow, that's cool. It looks a lot better now, and the height is definitely better. I didn't realise how squashed the original version was until I saw this one. Thanks!
Some near-future inspiration:

Remember the theme is 2050 - not 2020, 2025 or 2030. You're supposed to have a little bit of imagination, and you're not supposed to come up with something that already exists. It will need to be futuristic, so it needs to be new and exciting. But if you insist on making something that already exists
Or maybe something RETROfuturistic?

The carriages are not joined.
- i don't know what exactly you mean. (picture?)

So how do I rescale a model in the mdl?
Most of the points are easy to change, just some lines in the mdl, a new config for a multiple unit and it works, ofc except the recolourable/dirt/rust and sounds. Imho the vanilla sounds will do it, how often you are close enough to hear the costum beeps while closing the doors.
What I have changed / can change:
- Excessive acceleration
- Too many cars with pantos up
- There are no custom sounds. (possibly)
What I can't change:
- The carriages are not joined.
- There obviously is no interior/dirt/rust/recolourability.
- The whole thing is the wrong scale, it's too small.
- The wheels do not turn.
- The cars rotate around their center, rather than their axles.
And I do find custom sounds important. The default sounds are annoying and repetitive, and I like a train significantly more when it has it's own sound.
I may have a very basic knowledge of Blender, but it's not nearly good enough to completely overhaul a model on the inside. And texture mapping is hardly my forte either.
I've tried to ask Oppie, but couldn't. You need to be friends with someone to directly contact them, and I'm not friends with Oppie.
EDIT: I've tested the Train Fever version (the Improved one).
- The carriages are not joined.
- There obviously is no interior/dirt/rust/recolourability.
- There are no custom sounds.
- The whole thing is the wrong scale, it's too small.
- The wheels do not turn.
- The cars rotate around their center, rather than their axles.
So it's just not a very good model in general, there's a lot of things wrong with it. I've added some sounds for reference.

Real-world VIRM height: 467cm
Approximate in-game VIRM height: 435cm (pantographs clearly do not touch the wires)
The Nederlandse Spoorwegen's first and main double-decker intercity rolling stock. Introduced in 1994, extended in 2002, built until 2008, and refurbished in 2016.
The VIRM series is hugely important to railway traffic in the Netherlands, and it has been the most important intercity stock for some 20 years now - followed by the older ICM, which we already have in Transport Fever. You can find the VIRM on any mainline at any time,

I'm very eager to use these in my game.
It's looking very good. Please do make more British multiple units when this one's done.

Are you planning on making either the ACS-64 or the Avelia Liberty?
So what's next for the USA?
These Silberlinges will also work quite well as Plan W of the Nederlandse Spoorwegen.
Another timelapse, this time one that is bigger and slightly more sped up. Still not satisfied, of course, because why would I ever be satisfied?
Yes, I found that to be quite problematic. But I don't think they can just fix that.
Playing around with the new capture tool:
Is it just me or is the P42 Genesis not to scale? It always looks too small, I think.
Awesome! Can't wait to use them.
So OP, when will you be releasing all of these wonderful US vehicles?
I've been using the Steam mod. It's nice, I suppose, but not great.
