wuhu, that looks like trainstation such as "Zug" (https://www.google.ch/maps/@47…164055,707m/data=!3m1!1e3) and "Arth Goldau" (https://www.google.ch/maps/@47…504017,320m/data=!3m1!1e3) could become real!
@Enzojz Is it possible to build something like this?
https://www.suedostschweiz.ch/…630x420.jpg?itok=BpIwx9QO
Not the Buildings, the track Layout.
Arth-Goldau is one of my references, other references including Neuville-Université, Nanterre-Université, Bourg-la-reine and Asnières-Sur-Seine
Now I can show some fundamental thing...and the two tracks have different radii.
I still can now build it, since it crashes, but it seems the algorithm is working.
I'm really sure this list with extent rapidly, if I take more time for.
I think, out there are a great number of station mods, but none which combines all advatages of them yet. I would really appreciate to see that with "Ultimate Station".
Which is sure is underground station and elevated station will be upgraded(or reworked) after this Ultimate Station.
Just say they are great. But in Europe, the typical scaffolding are in inox and white sheets.
Like this one:
The standar and two part curves (like S) are finished, the third type, triangle, is in progress.
No screenshot so far
If you mean something like this, it should soon be possible.
I am back in this project.
actually, only UG can improve this, and I don't think in this version...
The problem is the terrain resolution, which is minimal 1 x 1 on a predefined grid, while you can place the infrastructure anywhere you like, so the calculation of terrain is f**ked up by lower resolution. In real life, a wall of 1m thick is already unusual, while in this game, only a wall of 2.5m is enough...it's ugly..
Wow, that would be a pretty cool feature! (For example, in Nürnberg (near my home town) such a one-sided elevated platform exists)
Ok, I understand what you mean...
I thought you mean a single track elevated station...
In theory, it's possible, in reality...maybe.
just a question, will it be possible to build one-track elevated stations? (I couldn't play TpF for a while but I think I remember the existing mod has only two-or-more-track elevated ones)
For the last version it's impossible, but now maybe.
No worries, I dont mind delays. By the way, the pre-alpha works fine for me, so, take you're time!
Pay attention the pre-alpha is not stable to the final, means incompatible(lead to CTD)...so for test and fun only.
Lot's of personal and family affairs this week, and an algorithm mistake unsolved for the two-part curves with displacement, so sorry the project will be delayed for some days.
execute Tpfmc.exe
drag & drop your file into it then press Return.
Done!
I think I will stop using the internal track selection design since I have never thought of introducing mod tracks..
Edit by Merk: Removed full-quote of previous post.
Variable radius + variable platform width
I always though, this would be never possible in TPF but you make everything possible
Thanks to you for your hard work on this station mod!!
Lot's of impossible thing I see in TPF, I just do what is possible but sophisticated.
I have added extra wide platform until 15m.
The standard station is finished, if you are interested in it you can test it with this download.
https://github.com/Enzojz/ultimate_station_1/archive/0.1.zip
I am working on S curve, Triangle station and other variants.
If all goes well, a first version on steam this week, contains only modern station. (more coming later)
Details about entries and fences are finished.
The next thing is triangle platforms
Alles anzeigenI think the conclusion is that we can't create a connection automatically. The player must build some sort of streets to do so. But from what I've learned so far, I've another nice idea:
Let's make a funicular!
[Blockierte Grafik: https://reskytnew.s3.amazonaws.com/418/plato-5276_ppc.jpg]
That should be totally possible, I've seen Trucks driving on insane slopes. We just have to create the sloped track as a single construction with the tracks as part of the model, not with construction edges.
Yes, use internal connection to make tracks, since the original tracks can't have such slope
... In this respect, the balls on the intermediate segment would be then blue, which is not the case. Since I trust 100% on Enzojz, which has really already all permutations of this problem at least once behind it. I'm not even angry that the electricity supply chain will not work. That would've liked nobody anyway, but since you may correct me. I think an asset power pretty time visually connecting to top it all off we reach more satisfied downloader.
You can use the way you have applied in created farms and waters to make the working electrical line as transport network, just make it a piece of construction.
Edit by Yoshi: Discussion about funiculars moved to a seperate topic: Entwurf Zahnradbahnen (abgesplittet von den Hochspannungsleitungen)
No, the connections must be in the same construction, I have asked UG this question and this is the thier answer and they don't want to make it in future.
