Well, since I'm here I might give you a small peek at my next project…
See you around!
The mod is out! And this is only the beginning! Thank you for everyone who helped! ![]()

Thanks for the advice!
Anyway the mod is almost out! I just need some testing and some fiddling with the textures! After some bits of testing I'll release it!
-Edit:
One last thing: I'm thinking of adding a rusty and a white repaint, but I think it will be part of an update released as soon as I've read enough from the lexicon.
This tool is exactley what I needed! I'll try this way, thanks!
Hi! I'm sorry, but this week I kept smashing my head on the keyboard and I've come to no results.
I must have broken something, because the mod wasn't working anymore, so I basically started from scratch, but I still have that problem! It's still miniscule. ![]()
I can't understand what's wrong, I guess it's the trasnf settings, I played around with the values but every time it deformed horribly.
Can you explain more in detail how to display the transf matrix values and how to insert them in the mod's files?
Thank you in advance.
Since I'm here, I've got some hilarious modding fails ![]()
Wow! This is absolutely awesome!
Thank you very much!
I'm bringing the computer this week with me, so expect the mod out any day now! ![]()
Yes I did but I really don't know how to overwrite the mesh. It's not a blender file.
So the big news is: I can't figure out how to get the correct dimensions. I don't know if it's the files that I'm using (I'm using Bandion's ones as a reference) or I just need to modify my mesh to make it larger. Sorry, but I said that I'm still learning, so you may have to wait longer. If anyone can help I'm more than happy to even send the files to correct them. ![]()
Stations will come out in the far future I'm afraid. This weekend I'll try to finish this mod, test it and release it. Stay frosty for Sunday! ![]()
Ants might need buffers too. XD
Will you make the buffers only as Assets or also as a Depot?
I think it might be only buffers for now. When I'll learn how to make depots then I may try to make them. ![]()
@InfinityRibbon
you want to work on italian buildings and these things around trenitalia?)
I think so! I still don't know if I want to start on wagons now or after I've made some semaphores and catenary. Those seem to be easier to do for a beginner. ![]()
The full model should be finished next week, and after some testing I will publish it.
CIAO. i m so glad to hear news about trenitalia
i can always help to find technical drawings of anything)
That's awesome! I've found some technical drawings too but every bit of help is welcome! Thank you in advance! ![]()
Well at least it's not crashing anymore ![]()

It's that reeeeeeally small square messed up on the rail.
after some tweaking I'll be able to upload some good screenshot ![]()
IT'S ALIVE!
Finally after some fiddling with the files it's done! I need to make the last adjustments and it's ready to be published! ![]()
Great! This is going to be really slow though as I have to study for University (which is very important to me), organize a trip to said museum (i'll see if I can go there next week), actually learn how to mod to which I have very, very little knowledge of.
The main thing I can do right now is to translate in English all the Italian data you need (such as Wikipedia pages and historical sites), since I've seen that there were lingustic problems. Speaking of which, I know no German at all
That is causing me some trouble in finding tutorials...
Thank you for your welcome!
So, I based my mod on the one made by someone that removes the original buffers, and when I try to open the asset menu the game crashes with the error:
File: asset/bufferIT.mdl
cannot open res/models/model/asset/bufferIT.mdl: No such file or directory
It seems to me that I copied everything with the correct name, filetype and so on… I still need to master the file syntax and the directory gerarchy ![]()
@denesberky: I've still not done a full list of vehicles to work on, but I'll give you some good news: I live close to a train museum (in Savigliano, Italy) which (I hope) has tons of data and original historical locos and waggons, AND an experimental train never used in service ![]()
Hi everyone! I've just joined the community even though I 've been downloading mods here since last year, but today I thought I may also help to make this beautiful place even richer!
Over the last year I have been noticing that there is a big lack of Italian trains, and that's very much understandable because, as far as I have seen, almost all of the members are from Germany, Austria or Switzerland. I love how I basically turned my TPF game into a "DB Railroad Simulator", but I think I can try to make some interesting Italian models (at least for some diversity), as a thank you letter for all the modders here. ![]()
I'd love to learn how to make mods, and I've found good help from websites, from reverse engineering mods and from videos such as YstlDystl's stream on YouTube and as I'm learning how to mod, I decided to make some buffers typically found in Italy, made by rail pieces. The mesh is done, the UV mapping too, the textures are (almost) finished, I exported using Blender's TPF exporter but i still can't get the model to work. ![]()
That's why I'm here to ask you if you can help me learning a bit. I'm also starting University, so my working pace will be slow, but eventually something will be out for you! That's a promise. ![]()
