Hello! So, I found out that the Transport Fever Model Viewer works somehow, so I could continue my work, even tough I can't test in-game. I may need someone to test it for me (a sort of preview) just to know if any last tweaks are needed :D

One massive problem though is the orientation of the catenary poles (yep, still working on that) as I don't know how to make them look like this.

These are different from the vanilla ones as there's a gap between the poles and the wires are orientated the other way round.
Studying the game files, multiple catenary poles are based on 3 main models:
    1(red): supporting poles, No problem.
2(green): "starter" pieces connected to the poles
3(turquoise): "repeated" pieces connected to the "starters". those appear when 3 or 4 lines are built.

    here's my problem with 2 and 3:
-as you can see these pieces are symmetrical and I don't know how to write it in the code
-between the 2 turquoise pieces there's a gap to which I don't know how to implement it (they are identical)
maybe there's some transformation matrix jiggery-pokery to do?

    Thank you for reading :)

Hello, last year Trenitalia released a new livery for UIC cars "Intercity" in two kinds, the "day" (giorno) and "night" (notte) ones.
Although being criticized for being too similar to the German one, a new modern white and red livery appeared on the trains connecting major Italian cities. Since this is only a repaint, this be easy while we wait for the new locomotives (wink wink) E401 and E402...
I have therefore some schemes, drawings and have translated all the info you need.

I have also a table listing all codes for the colours, it might be useful.

Tell me if you need more data and/or help translating. Thanks for reading! :)

I've manually uninstalled all mods from the game and had it reinstalled. It didn't show anything, only the classic Windows error. The crash dump (I had both a pirated and an official Steam version) says nothing but some common stuff (see here for full details)...
I guess the only way is to buy a better computer. It's 8 years old anyway :)

Edit: actually the last post is a lie, because at first I downloaded a very old version of TPF, but in the end, it didn't work either.

sadly this isn't the case, my computer prior to the update would run the game pretty decently even if it didn't remotely meet the minimum requirements (2.2Ghz CPU, 4GB RAM, good ATI Radeon video card). I must say that Urban Games did an excellent job making such a detailed game that ran on such a technological 8-years-old potato :)
The game would now crash immediately upon loading whatever map, even with minimum settings :(

ok, I think it's fair to let you know that my computer isn't able to run the game anymore, so this project is postponed until I'll have the time (and the finances) to buy a new computer. I'm sorry, but you will need to wait at least 6 months to hear any news from this project again.

For anyone that's interested, feel free to contact me to get the 3D models, photos and any info that I can provide.

Hello, I wonder if it's possible to add Electricity as a Resource in the game as a mod.

Basically the concept is that an industry (Power Plant) is eating resources in change for profit (for example and industry that consumes coal or oil or gas), as already seen in some campaign missions.

It would be a cheap way to make profit, even if it's impossible to speed the growth of a city (as it wouldn't be distributed as goods).

Let me hear your thoughts about it! :)

That is probable. That version seemed it had everything on, and I'm sure it was TPF (there were boats, planes and everything).

The thing is that I didn't like the 2-hours limit of testing that Steam gives you.
I knew the PC specs were low, that's why I wanted to test the game. Now I've already got 37 minutes of staring at a black screen.

Is there anything I can do? Maybe I can donate the retail price of the copy to the developers and continue using the bad copy...

I wait for a few seconds before I see some gray lines and then it crashes.

I must say I've had a cracked copy of the game and it worked quite well, so I thought of buying it, even though it wasn't really meeting the minimum requirements.
The game ran fine (with some minimum settings) until late game, mid 2000 (also I'm not really interested in massive detailing)

Edit by Yoshi: Piracy is not supported!

    The other error is;

    "res/config/tips.lua not in file cache!
    res/config/tips_steam.lua not in file cache!"

Nothing is written in stderr file. ?(
All drivers are updated (as August 2018 and my computer is a quite old).

And if it gives more information here is the full transcript of stdout:

Hello, my copy of Transport Fever from Steam every time I start any kind of game gives me a black screen and then it crashes, forcing me to close the game.
I've got an error in the crash_dump folder, stdout file, saying that X, Y, and Z textures are not in in file cache.
What can I do to fix this? I've read I can try to delete the folder, although with memory usage increased.

As soon as I get home I'll include graphic card info

Hi! I have recently moved to Turin, and they've got some interesting tram models! Their site has got plenty of drawnigs, photos and tons and tons of data. The thing is that it's only in italian, so here I've got a full translation of the main info, and if anyone want, I'll make a summary of the stories of these trams.

Hi! I've been working slowly recently, due to... musical affairs :D
I'm learning how to manipulate tracks, and some custom speed limits are being deployed!

I've got only a problem, I can't find any reference on how to make the game code to arrange the poles like these.

Every mod that I've found is based on the vanilla catenary, while my project is different. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!
