    Joe Fried is right here!

    Just like that, Phase II is complete!

    The ramp from Mesquite St Station has been constructed connecting it with the lowest level of Breakridge. This has lead to a elevated junction that allows Playland Local Trains to access the lower level Breakridge Platforms for access to Play Stadium in the future as opposed to only Mai Playland. Trains coming from the eventual Play Stadium Station will have two route choices once they reach Breakridge.

    You can see an ( M ) Train descending onto the Mesquite St ramps after departing from the triple decker Breakridge Station.

    Alright, it is time that Phase II of the ( M ) Line redesign commences.

    Please see the diagram below showcasing the area of the map that is being worked on:

    ORIGINAL

    AFTER

    As illustrated, the current Ocean Drive Shuttle elevated right of way is being dismantled. Simultaneously, construction on three new subway stations is also underway as well as a reconfiguration of the irrigation for the Bayview River. The New Ocean Drive Station is a three-Track Subway station. It will allow for 24/7 through service for the ( M ) Line as well as an additional track if a dedicated shuttle service needed to return. It will also allow for future Yard Moves from the planned Play Stadium Yard without interrupting Revenue Service.

    Last but not least, here is a short Station Showcase Video so you can feel like you are there in person!

    The Original and 1.3 are the only ones that I would use. I had someone test 1.5 and auto-unbunch did NOT work after a few hours. Didn't even bother to try 1.4.

    Also, if you have another version on your saved game, it is not advised to change versions. Only on fresh saves.

    Happy New Years from De Island Transportation!

    We are going into high gear for Construction this January. Not only is the ( M ) Line Redesign Phase II underway, a General Work Order was requested by the higher ups!

    The Ashfield Main Line (which runs more inland than the ( M ) Line) has an adjacent station to Cambridge Valley named Helfield Av. It was in quite the debilitated state that it must be renovated alongside the ongoing redesign work. An Auxiliary construction crew was sent to the Jobsite and was able to knock it out.

    This station is normally served by the ( N ) and < 6 > Trains.

    With that said, Happy Advent to everyone! Work will commence after the Holidays! ;)

    Phase 1 is almost complete! Next up is Newent Street.8o

    Half of the Station is considered outside while the other half is considered underground. The construction blue print was lengthy.

    Thanks for your input DH-106; when I return home I shall test this in notepad++ to see if there is a visibility gap in the LODs.

    I also spoke with User Adie Gibbs elsewhere and they suggested that it may be incorrect Bounding Box Code! In either case both are easy fixes for me to make on my end, however it would be best if the original Modder could update this for everyone's experience.

    I'll be sure to inform them once it's determined which one is the culprit when I test later. I'll also return here so that the solution is immortalized on the forums :) .

    -----

    Edit: Alright I double checked this stuff. The LoD visibility ranges were set correctly without any gaps fortunately. The culprit was indeed the collider Box information.

    The Solution 8o

    • Open your .mdl files in Model Editor while simultaneously opening them in notepad++.
    • Delete the Collider Box code in notepad++ and save the file. Model Editor will now generate a new Collider box for you that matches your Bounding Box.
    • Save the .mdl in Model Editor. When you return to NotePad++ you will be prompted to reload and will now see the Collider Box Code is magically fixed.
    • Do this for all of your asset .mdl files and you are good to go!

    There are a few Mods where if you are angled close to them in a forward or backward motion they disappear from view prematurely. Why does this happen and how can this be resolved?

    It is very difficult to attach a .gif so I have to just attach two pictures.

    Here

    Gone  ||

    Imagine yourself moving toward the house structure and it just disappears on you. If you back away, it is rendered again. I'm sure the original Modder will have to adjust something, but I would like to know what is happening here for my own knowledge and so that I may assist them with troubleshooting this issue as it is an annoying occurrence.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank You

    BRIEF HISTORY OF DE ISLAND TRANSPORTATION

    De Island Transportation as a Company was formed in 1901 in the fictional Country known as Navira. The Mission Statement of the Company was to consolidate, maintain, and operate Passenger Service along the Right of Way of Several Defunct Railroads that used to operate in Navira. The Government gave De Island nearly free reign to unify the multitude of separate Track Segments that were in the Western Counties of Navira. The company has spent Billions over more than a century essentially redesigning the entire Country's Track layout. By the 1950s, De Island had several electrified Routes that covered Counties from Surf City to Wotton County. Fast forward to 2024 (The current in game year), De Island has become the primary form of Travel for the residents of Navira. The entire country has developed around De Island's Trackage.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Currently Planned Work Orders

    • ( M ) Line Redesign Phase 1 - COMPLETED
    • General Work Order 01 - COMPLETED
    • ( M ) Line Redesign Phase 2 - COMPLETED
    • ( M ) Line Redesign Phase 3 - <-------

    ( M ) Line Redesign

    This is a multi-phase project to rehabilitate the existing ( M ) Open-Cut corridor, demolish the Ocean Drive Shuttle, extend the ( M ) Right of Way over the waterway East of Dawson Blvd, connect it to the lower level of Breakridge, then continue North towards Play Stadium. This is where the Line will terminate with an Underground Yard which will eventually be the storage facility for the ( E ), ( D ), ( M ), and Playland Local Trains. This will alleviate the shortage of Yard Tracks in the region and should increase headways for Trains heading Westward.

    Phase 1

    Phase 1 is focused primarily on the rehabilitation aspects of the project. This work will take place between Oldbury Station and Municipal Blvd (not inclusive of these stations). Seven Stations will be completely reconstructed from the ground up and will match the quality of the rest of the Subway Network.

    These stations are:

    1. Thorne Road ✅
    2. Danver Plains ✅
    3. Cambridge Valley ✅
    4. Bordeux Lane ✅
    5. Greenburg ✅
    6. Newent Street ✅
    7. Middlewich Village ✅

    Phase 2

    Phase 2 is focused on the creation of the new Ocean Drive Branch Stations that are underground as opposed to the derelict relic currently known as the Elevated Ocean Drive Shuttle. The current Shuttle R.O.W is a one Track structure with bypass loops in between each station. The new R.O.W is projected to be a three track tunnel East of Ocean Drive (which will be an underground Three Track station itself). Park Drive and Casanova Drive stations will be consolidated into one station located at the mid-point between the two. The new station will be 2 side platforms with a bypass track in the center. The same will be for the Mesquite St Station redesign. East of that station, the bypass Track is merged and the remaining tracks will immediately ascend to be connected to the lower level of Breakridge. The purpose of this bypass track is to allow Yard Equipment Moves with minimal hindrance to revenue service.

    Station names are:

    1. Ocean Drive ✅
    2. Park - Casanova ✅
    3. Mesquite Street ✅

    Phase 3

    Phase 3 is focused on the creation of the three new stations that do not currently exist. Their names are as follows:

    1. Pembroke Street
    2. Nautilus Avenue
    3. Play Stadium (Terminus)

    The last station will be located directly underneath Play Stadium. It will still have a traditional exit so the Station can function even when there are no Games scheduled. This will remove the need for Passengers to ride to Newtown Creek station for Ball park Access as it used to be a 2.41km walk to the front gates! A Bypass track will be constructed North of Breakridge and West of the Stadium for the same purpose as the Phase 2 Bypass Track.

    Phase 3Y

    Phase 3Y is a sub-phase for 3 that concentrates solely on the creation of the new Play Stadium Yard. It will be located adjacent to the new Play Stadium Station.

    As work is completed, I will add the Pictures here as well as in my Gallery.

    It's time to hit the field! 🚧

    - De Island Transportation

    This will be the thread used to discuss my fictional world from Transport Fever 2;

    8) The Great Subway Project 8)

    The Great Subway Project Route Map

    De Island Transportation Videos Thread

    INTRODUCTION

    I've been working on this world in the game since December 2023. It started as a Project to concentrate on intricate underground building as I noticed not many players were doing this.

    Instead of playing catch up with all of the progress for the last few years as a write up, I'll concentrate on the latest building "Work Orders" that De Island Transportation (The Company) has been tasked with completing.

    To have an idea of what regions we are working on, I've provided my Rail Network Map. When Counties and Station names are used for future posts, this Map will pinpoint the general area of the world that I'm currently showcasing.

    Do I need to change these values?

    That's it!

    That's exactly what controls the movement and direction of the people within a Station. You Can't edit this part directly though because these are just pointers for the edgelists. You have to reverse the edgeList in its entirety. I have provided an example with filler variable names so you can get the idea.

    Code
    edgeList = {
    { {nodeA, nodeB}, type = "PERSON" },  -- edge 0
    { {nodeC, nodeD}, type = "PERSON" },  -- edge 1
    }

    BECOMES

    Code
    edgeList = {
    { {nodeB, nodeA}, type = "PERSON" },  -- reversed
    { {nodeD, nodeC}, type = "PERSON" },  -- reversed
    }

    By the way; this same logic is also used to determine what side Train doors opens up in a station for a Model.

    So the Edgelists and PersonEdges are terms that the game use for the walking paths of agents (people).

    [Edgelists]→ defines walkable surface geometry (where people can walk)

    [PersonEdge] → defines actual passenger walking routes (where people will walk (and direction they will face))

    I do not know enough to explain it all from scratch, but I know the Lexicon entry that handles them. I have attached them to this post. I hope it helps you.

    On a serious note; this has something to do with edgelists and PersonEdges for the platform creation. It appears that the game is registering the agent positioning in the opposite direction.
