Al principio empecé a desarrollar un mod de una Iveco clásica de 1988, pero finalmente decidí cambiar de rumbo. Preferí centrarme en modelos que yo mismo usaría mucho más en mis partidas, aunque supongan un reto mayor al ser nuevo en Blender. Así que os presento el proyecto en el que estoy trabajando actualmente: una Iveco Daily del 2015.

Initially, I started working on a mod for a classic 1988 Iveco, but I eventually decided to change direction. I preferred to focus on models that I would use much more in my own games, even if they pose a bigger challenge as a beginner in Blender. So, here is the project I'm currently working on: a 2015 Iveco Daily.

Ursprünglich hatte ich mit einer Mod für einen Iveco-Klassiker aus dem Jahr 1988 begonnen, mich dann aber für einen Kurswechsel entschieden. Ich wollte mich lieber auf Modelle konzentrieren, die ich selbst in meinen Spielwelten viel mehr nutzen würde, auch wenn sie als Blender-Neuling eine größere Herausforderung darstellen. Hier ist also das Projekt, an dem ich aktuell arbeite: ein Iveco Daily aus dem Jahr 2015.

I really love how it’s turning out! I think this is a type of truck that the game was missing, and I haven’t really seen any similar mods around. Here in Spain, it’s very common to see these kinds of small trucks around the cities. I’m really looking forward to seeing the final result!

I completely understand you. I actually had to stop because building took so many hours of footage, and editing everything was taking forever. On top of that, I changed jobs, so my free time became even more limited and well, you always have to set priorities. Still, it’s definitely something I keep in the back of my mind. Just like you, if I had recorded everything I’ve built in my world... it would be hours and hours of footage, hahaha!

Haha, damn! To be honest, I’ve spent countless hours looking for mods, but since my maps are always European-themed, I never thought to look into those specific ones. Thank you so much, because I would have never figured it out on my own. Now that I’ve tried them, there are definitely some roads that fit perfectly into my maps!

And hey, since I’ve got you here... how come you’re not uploading videos of your building process? I know, I shouldn't talk since I haven't uploaded to YouTube in a while either! But I can assure you that your work is absolutely incredible, and I’d love to see how you do it. You surprise me more and more every time.

Hey, what's up? Quick question, now that I'm looking at it, what are you using for the sidewalks and roads? I love that realistic look, and with the mods I've got, I'm really struggling to get those same effects.

Most of them are from the Madrid area in Spain, but you can find all of them throughout Spain.

Um ehrlich zu sein, bin ich gerade etwas besessen davon, sie ständig zu verbessern, alle Namen anzupassen und alles so zu perfektionieren, wie ich es mir vorstelle. Hier sind die neuesten Modelle, an denen ich gearbeitet habe. Sie sind zwar noch nicht ganz fertig, aber ich wollte sie trotzdem schon mal mit euch teilen!

La verdad es que por ahora no, pero sí tengo pensado hacer otro pack más adelante. Cada día se me ocurren nuevas ideas, especialmente cuando voy camino al trabajo. De momento voy a publicar este pack tal y como está, ya que estoy terminando de preparar las capturas y el material necesario para lanzarlo muy pronto.

To be honest, not at the moment, but I do plan to create another pack in the future. I keep coming up with new ideas, especially while I'm on my way to work. For now, I'm going to release this pack as it is, since I'm currently finishing the screenshots and preparing everything needed to publish it very soon.

Como no puedo quedarme quieto, finalmente he decidido añadir más texturas al mod del camión MAN. Por aquí les dejo un adelanto de lo que he usado para las imágenes de la interfaz (UI). Ya van unos cuantos camiones guardados en la recámara, ¡se los puedo asegurar!

Since I can't seem to sit still, I’ve finally decided to add more textures to the MAN truck mod. Here’s a little teaser of what I used for the UI images. I've already worked on quite a few trucks, I can promise you that!

I'm not entirely sure if I'm understanding it correctly, but if you're referring to a mod that replaces the original ground textures and terrain assets for example, adding higher-quality textures and allowing the map to be shaped in a more detailed and realistic way then it definitely has a lot of potential.

If that's what you mean, what exactly did you manage to achieve in Cities in Motion 2?

Ich bin mir nicht ganz sicher, ob ich das richtig verstehe, aber wenn du von einem Mod sprichst, der die ursprünglichen Bodentexturen und Geländeelemente ersetzt zum Beispiel durch hochwertigere Texturen und bessere Möglichkeiten zur Gestaltung der Karte , dann hat das auf jeden Fall großes Potenzial.

Falls das gemeint ist: Was genau konntest du denn in Cities in Motion 2 umsetzen?

Me pasa exactamente igual que a ti; siempre he querido que Transport Fever 2 tuviera más mods de España, porque el juego tiene muchísimo potencial para recrear un ambiente español increíble. Poco a poco lo iremos haciendo realidad. Por el momento, ya tengo terminados el mod del Solaris Urbano de Madrid y el de los camiones MAN. Ahora mismo estoy terminando uno de carteles de España y otro de autobuses Mercedes de Madrid, y pronto quiero empezar con los camiones Scania.

Thank you so much! I feel exactly the same way. I've always wanted Transport Fever 2 to have more Spanish mods, because the game has so much potential to create a really great Spanish atmosphere. Bit by bit, we'll make it happen! For now, I've already finished the Madrid Solaris Urbano mod and the MAN trucks mod. Right now, I'm putting the finishing touches on a Spanish road signs mod and another for Madrid Mercedes buses, and I'm planning to start working on Scania trucks very soon.

Hoy os escribo porque estoy bastante contento con cómo van las cosas. El gran pack de mods de España en el que he estado trabajando para Transport Fever 2 está avanzando a muy buen ritmo y ya hay cositas que están quedando espectaculares.

Ahora mismo estoy centrado en el tema de las autorizaciones. Tengo algunas variantes listas y otras en mente, y estoy en contacto con los creadores originales para pedirles su visto bueno. Como sabéis, en la comunidad el respeto por el trabajo de los demás es lo primero, así que estoy esperando con muchas ganas sus respuestas para, si todo va bien, ¡poder publicarlos y compartirlos con todos vosotros en la Workshop!

De verdad, espero que podáis verlo muy pronto. A todo lo que incluye este pack le estoy metiendo muchísimas horas y, sobre todo, mucho cariño para que la comunidad española por fin tenga el contenido que se merece.

Hi everyone!

I'm writing to you today because I'm really happy with how things are moving along. The large Spanish mod pack I've been working on for Transport Fever 2 is making great progress, and some of the assets are already looking spectacular.

Right now, I'm focusing on the permissions side of things. I have a few variants ready and others in mind, and I'm currently reaching out to the original creators to ask for their green light. As you know, respecting each other's work comes first in this community, so I'm eagerly waiting for their replies. If all goes well, I'll be able to publish them and share them with all of you on the Workshop!

I truly hope you get to see it very soon. I'm putting a ton of hours and, above all, a lot of love into everything included in this pack so that the Spanish community finally gets the content it deserves.

I'll keep you updated as soon as I get the green light and good news from the authors!
