I noticed that there is a group file function in Tpf2 but it seems only apply for single-vehicle. I am wondering if this also possible for Multiple unit? ![]()
Is it possible to add the "group file" function for Multiple unit?

Glad to know this! Thank you!

Hey sorry for bothering again,
It seems I am still not been able to make it work for multiple unit.So I have set all the .mdl files to
multipleUnitOnly = true,
and I put in the code(below) to the .lua files (config/multiple_unit)
groupFileName = " ",
name = _(" "),Is there any naming rules I need to follow?
or there is something else I missed? -
I assume you have a structure like this:
- train_a.lua
- train_a_1.mdl
- train_a_2.mdl
- train_a_3.mdl
- train_b.lua
- train_b_1.mdl
- train_b_2.mdl
- train_b_3.mdl
and you want to group the both trains a and b in a group xy.
Then just add the groupFileName = "<path-to>/group_xy.mdl" to these groups lua. - train_a.lua
-
yes, I have this structure but it's still not working.

Do I need to create a "group_xy.mdl" file?
Also, I put all my .mdl file in "vehicle/train/" folder.
I guess the <path-to> in your script = "vehicle/train" right?

The file you refer to has to be existing obviously

correct.
-
but what would that file be? what's the script for the group .mdl file?
-
I usually duplicate another .mdl and just make sure it has multipleUnitOnly set to true.
If you do not need a seperate name and image for the group you can even link to an existing mdl or lua.
In the above example, train A could be grouped to train B with:
groupFileName = {"train_b.lua"}Please be aware that when referencing multiple unit lua files, there is no filepath needed.

Got it! finally,
Thank you so much!
