Remote Airfield
I tested the airfield, everything is ok so far, a great mod! The only tricky thing is to find out where the airport will be located. I had to build one remote airfield, make a route from a normal airport and look where the route is heading, and then build an other one in the direction I want it to be.
Absolutly no problem for me, but maybe you can ad a direction arrow for help for others...

Fully agree, the seagull is nice, but doesn't really help when placing the buoys.
I'm thinking how I can make the buoys show closer when placing them or to add a dummy arrow for placing, after placing it you'll then need to choose the proper beacon.

It helps, but whem you have mountains on the map, like me, you have to locate the airfield more precise to make the planes fly around them.

That would be nice, a big long arrow.
But that's just a detail, the mod works fine and is realy useable for air traffic
Added an "ASSISTENT"to the config settings; The further away the airport the bigger the arrow.
Update is now available for the Remote Airfield including Assistent selection.

Ok so just for understanding ... this is the possibility to set a shadow airport outside of the map where planes can bring passengers/cargo to and from?
That would be cool so finally those Concordes or 747's would make sense and you can get the planes filled up with people

Yes it is. I'm also stil testing it.
Beyond 100km distance no passengers are generated.
You can however get passengers if you place 2 remote airfields in the same direction and distance next to eachoter if one has residential and the other e.g. commercial capacity.
Also routing passengers from one 100km distant airfield via another in the opposite direction generates passengers.

it will be a while, still selecting mods for the map.
Pehaps it's an idea that we would have smaller maps, maybe even really small, just for Schonbau, where you can fill a map in a day and don't feel the need to fill it all with eyecatchers and diversity.
Maybe map sizes of just a few hundred metres ...
Now I can't mod such with my current skills, but if someone is willing and able I encourage you
just a side step, or step back actually, I'm also improving the VW T3.
It took some time to get the UV maps matching the old ones (I hadn't saved the blender files). Where needed the meshes are now nice and smooth
The T3 is really looking better with the smoothened meshes and roof detail :).
I'll probably divide the packs a little different, at least thinking about it.

My idea is the option upon selecting the mod where one can select the country for the license plates on driving vehicles (not AI traffic).
For the assets I think everyone is very happy with our current achievement in the 90's car pack, so that I aim to repeat for the T3 assets.
I think if you want dynamic license plate numbers, you'll be stuck using the vehicle name. That will work fine, but with the side effect that the license plate number will be what shows up in all the game windows that list vehicles.
If you're OK with static choices, i.e. one per country, then you can use the addModifier function to change the text in the .mdl file based on the user's choice for country.
I was thinking static ones indeed.
