Deleting the .lua fixes the problemIt was as I suspected, the file strings.lua is missing. How ever, TFGM should handle this situation. I will fix it to the next update.

When inspecting the code, this situation is already covered, BUT!
The mod is packed all wrong. The archive should contain a folder with the mod ID and major version. The archive is named by the mod ID and then only contains the res folder.It should look like this to be correct:

Next to the access violations when scanning for mods, I do get this if I try to start the game from TFGM
build 5798 (GOG)
TFGM 1.4.0.92 -1312
Loader 1.1.1.6 - 1260the preferences look fine in the appdata folder for tfgm
and I can open the root folder, music folder etc.
Just this error when I try to start the game from tfgm -
Mhh that sprobably because your manager isnt as popular as the TFMM, sadly

Go to preferences under the tool menu. In the "General" tab, make sure the "Generate log file" is checked. If not check it, press Ok and restart TFGM.
Do whatever you do to get the errors.
After the error has shown, exit TFGM (if you aren't already thrown out) and go to the folder where TFGM exe file is. You should find a file called TFGMlog.txt Please send the log file to me, either as an attachment or copy paste in a PM. You would probably want to send it to me in a PM because the log file might contain some information about your computer. -

Is it normal that the programm has to skip all the mods again and again on every startup?!

For now it is scanning all vehicles at startup. I'm planning to have this done a bit different. I can move the scan to the vehicle manager window being opened (for the first time) instead.

A simple toggle would be cool or a popup if you want to install a new mod if the programm should scan again
=> OPTIONS
=>Scan mods on startup=> Adding new Mod
=> Popup => Scan mod folder? -
I checked the logfile (hope I can attach it, I do not want to bore people with billions of lines ascii text )
I anonymized username and ID in the file. I cannot see any problem there.
The error happens when TFGM starts scanning the installed mods at the very first mod it finds. The mod itself works fine ingame. -

More intelligence will be added when I have the base functionality debugged.. -

* NEW! Built in Train-Fever.net mod catalog.
Browse, download and register mods from train-fever.net directly from TFGM's built in catalog feature.
This is a very basic and a raw version of it, but it will improve in the coming updates
After a mod has been downloaded TFGM will try to register it. If this succeeds, the mod is moved from
the Download to Library folder. If it fails, the mod will remain in the Download folder.
Remember that not all files are "mods", some are a tools, texture packs etc... these you have to handle manually.
TFGM is capable of "unlimited" parallel downloads in the background, but on request from our Administrators at
train-fever.net, TFGM will only download one mod at a time to not overload the server. In coming updates TFGM
will queue mods so more than one mod can be selected for download (but still downloaded one-by-one).* Added more log messages
* Fix. TFGM freeze/not starting if some application was running in the background; such as Overwolf and Cortana.
* Fix. Tag edit button not showing correct images.

Hi Gwinda, first, thank you for your great tool.
But I have a problem with the current version 0.92.1.59 - 1254
I lost all settings after the update, so everything in TFGM is reset to default, so no mods are displayed.
But I think this will be fixed, as soon TFGM knows the correct paths, but here is the problem:My Steam client is located at "D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\" and is set up correctly in the TFGM Preferences. Also my "Storage folder" is located at "E:\Game Mods\Train Fever\Game Manger\Working Directory\", that I also set up correctly.
But my Train Fever game is located on my SSD at "G:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Train Fever".
When I click on the Details-Tab of the Preferences, "Train fever executable" is red with the path "D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\train fever\TrainFever.exe". There is no way for me to change this to the correct path mentioned before.
Also "Train fever settings file" is red, with the path "C:\User\<userName>\AppData\Roaming\Train Fever\settings.lua" ... there is no such file at this path.
I tried editing the config file of TFGM at "C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Train Fever Game Manager\Preferences.lua" but "Train fever executable"-path seems not be stored there
The previous version was working fine for me.
Hope you can help.
Same problem over here. I tried the new version 1.7.0.105 - 1325 and got the same problem.Also a change in Preferences.lua isn't solving the problem.
My Steam is installed at : D:\Games\Steam.
I get also an auto corretur back to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\" every time.
Hope u can help me.
