Hello!
Would it be possible for someone to give me a step by step tutorial on how to convert using the converter in the Model Editor? I have tried to use it myself, but it completes the conversion halfway before giving up. It then spews and bunch of errors at me, when I do a bulk valditation. The .msh files are proving to be the most difficult, as there apparently is some sort of limit at 256 kb

We need more info. Could the console output from the conversion? And maybe a screenshot of the moment where the conversion stops halfway.
information about th emod your trying to convert could also be helpful. Trying to load the mod ingame and providing the game log (stoudt.txt) from the try could help.

Went through all that and it still not working.... I gave up and not wasting time again

Unfortunately it seems it is way more inconvinient to convert mods from TPF2 to TPF3 then it was from TPF1 to TPF2 because you have to do some things manually. The days of copying a file and press a button are over (with the old converter).
Take a look at existing mods from the cmp so you get used to the new structures. And from there: „Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery“. With some try and error you will get results. And btw; It took me 6h just to figure out how to make a simple con.lua for assets

Upps, das hätte mir sehr wahscheinlich den ein oder anderen Fehlversuch erspart.
. Bei den vielen neuen Features in TPF3 kann etwas Theorie nicht schaden.
