Try another thing: Copy all the content from Mods-folder somewhere else. Delete the folder recreate them and copy the mods back. I know it sounds crazy but another member here posted that its work for him.

Then u have to wait that:
1. The Modders update there mods to this big crazy new idea.
or
2. For a hotfix from UG that disable this nice new "feature" -
The UG Developers are working on a patch for this "problem" that will be released later today. That's at least what they said.

Does anyone still remember which mod contained the ew_iv_2.mdl?
For some reason, my USA save works again, so I'm trying to fix my older saves too, but I can't find the mod that contains ew_iv_2.mdl... Help would be appreciated!If anyone is still having issues, the patch seems to work; especially after a clean install.

"ew_iv_2" sounds like "Einheitswagen", look for a Mod which contains "Einheitswagen IV" you have installed

It seems that different users have different files "corrupted"?
This morning Urban Games released a fix for this issue. It's amazing how quickly they reacted
far better than larger game studios...
Thanks to the devs for this fix. In the future, I suggest them to perform some testings with random mods before updating the game, and to comunicate few hours/days before, rather than later, if something big is coming. -

Unfortunately, I seem to have been mistaken, the file I'm looking for is the ew_ir_2.mdl, not ew_iv_2.mdl.An old 'mod list' refers to a repaint of the EW IV in DB InterRegio Colors, with a 1st and 2nd class, available in 1988, but I can't seem to find it in the library, nor can I find a saved copy on my computer.
Does anyone still have that mod saved?EDIT: Apologies for hijacking the thread, but the UTF-8 issue does seem to be solved, for now. Great work from UG.
